Great to see! Very much a lost world, I recognise the Seaton Carew scenes, though I was only a nipper at the time. Now in London NW4, 2021 and living in what seems to be a different country. Things have most definitely changed for the worse for Britain!

Lovely film. Seaton Carew used to be a great place to visit on a Sunday afternoon. I can remember the old penny slot machines at the shows. " What the Butler Saw" machine, Fortune Teller machine.

Hello Keith. Just seen your comment. Really good to hear from you.
Not keen on Soccer these days, more into Rugby.
Great days in Warden street! Please send my best wishes to Peter and I hope that you are both very well.
Your Dad was ahead of his time. Just wonderful video!
    All the best,
    Albert

know exactly who was crossing the steelworks bridge. It was Peter Gowland and his brother Keith. They lived in number 1 Warden street. Their mother was Norrie and father was Walter. I lived in Warden st. also. They were a nice family and it would be good to say hello again after all these years. Also good to see his Mam in the video. If anybody see's Peter tell him Albert Bainbridge was asking after him and hope he is well.
Thanks for a great upload Michael.

Hi All, I remember the roundabout, umbrella and swings in Greyfeilds. My grandad lived in Duke st and uncle lived in Hart lane. I lived in Eamont gardens and used to go to greyfeilds with my dad many moons ago (must be 40 years now). Live in New Zealand now but a monkey hanger at heart....

Thank-you for sharing - it's changed so much and yet so little! (I remember using the Steelworks bridge in the late 70s to get to Seaton when I was in the play scheme during the summer holidays...

Great footage. It would be really hard to imagine anybody coming to Hartlepool for their holidays without it, mind.

I thought it might be a coincidence. Another one is I was born in Hartlepool & now I live in Leeds!
