I think the best way to differentiate the deaths of OP is two categorize them as deactivation and actual death. deactivation being when he easily reactivated and or still fully intact while doing so. IE: giving him some form of jump start. Actual death requiring some form of miracle in order to revive him with his body likely not intact due the incident that killed him.
