How exciting to go through these albums, and good to see one of your shows with abundant stamps in it.
It's eerie how the HR Harmer guy freezes at 14.30 - cataleptic stuff! No seriously, you guys make great shows and do our hobby a big service. Keep it up!

Great episode hope to see more of these! Would have liked to see more shots of the stamps and have it slowed down a bit.

FANTASTIC EPISODE! A MUST-SEE FOR PHILATELISTS and "NON-PHILATELISTS. " Most stamp dealers are asked to value a collection either because the person wants to sell it or consign it or have an idea of the value for insurance purpose. I am sure that NON-PHILATELISTS and most STAMP COLLECTORS would be surprised HOW FAST MICHAEL AND CHARLES ARE FLIPPING THROUGH THE PAGES. Most people cannot understand that most experienced stamp dealers and auctioneers can look at pages and get a very good idea of the value of A LARGE HOLDING! I had a stamp store for one year, and people felt insulted (until I learned to go page by page!) when they saw me flip so fast through pages. Most stamp dealers have a lot of knowledge and a database of at least 100,000 to 200,000 stamps in their brains and know when it is worth very little or when to stop for more VALUABLE STAMPS such as the Canadian Blue Nose, a France Pexip Sheet, a collection of FSAT, better US stamps such as the Zeppelins. Also, Michael showed that stamp dealers need to stop and use reference books and catalogues, and IF THEY ARE NOT SURE, can ask a colleague or have items expertized. Finally, without getting into details, I would not want viewers to conclude that some stamps sell better on eBay and others at a New York auction, Michael and Charles will probably agree with me, and professionals could have an hour-long discussion about "How to break a Large (or small) stamp collection". GREAT PROGRAM! AS MENTIONED IN OTHER COMMENTS, it would be nice to have other episodes so that that people understand better how we value collections. Thanks! Pierre Wertheimer pierre@nc.rr.com

Looks like a real workout going through those boxes. Nice to see the Davo and Scott albums. That's the way I collect also!

Very good episode, you should make another one of its kind with a little more view on the stamps. Using a second top-view camera to see what you're describing in real time would be a plus. It was great to see you together in an alibaba cave type mode!

Last night was the first time that I watched one of your videos. Excellent job. By happenstance, I had already bid a Noble Spirt auction of the South Africa albums on eBay, which I won this evening. I had to come back to check this out. It was definitely from this collection. Kind of cool the way these things come together. Thank you

Would you be so kind as to do a video specifically on Ecuador? I have three grandchildren who are Ecuadorian-American and I am attempting to put together a stamp album for each one of them to help them understand their mother's culture.

Davo is Dutch and in Dutch, Davo is pronounced the way Michael pronounces it.

So, do you say who's collection this was? The provenance of the collection? That would be interesting to know.
