Yeah, essential oils have no staying power. I wish there was more honesty about that. They are useful and I use them for cleaning, but forget about anything with a fragrance of any kind left behind.
Does anyone else HATE the smell of vinegar? I've tried adding essential oils, still its a no. It's a decent cleaner, but a home that smells like a deli, no, I just can't. And my family hates it as well. I clean most things with dawn and it works well.

Vinegar is not a surfactant nor a solvent for grease and oil. It’s only value as a cleaning agent is to remove mineral scale and soap scum.
Don’t inhale toxic fumes from essential oils. They contain harmful VOCs!!!!
