Old Forester 1910 and Old Forester Single Barrel Barrel Proof

In October of 1910, a fire on the bottling line caused Old Forester to re-barrel mature whiskey that was ready to be bottled. Old Forester 1910 is the fourth and final expression in the Whiskey Row series and pays homage to this event as a doubled oaked whiskey.
This Old Forester Single Barrel Barrel Proof is a Beastmasters pick and comes in at a whopping 132.4 proof from wharehouse J, floor 8. Both are beautiful expressions. Find out which is better in Glenn and Charlie's opinion.

Very interesting review as I thought for sure the single barrel would win by a mile. I never thought to compare the barrel strength to the 1910 due to the proof difference but I'll have to do my own research. Cheers!

Don't you think judging a higher proof buy one sip is a lil bit quick ? I have both and the 1920 also and find that higher proofs a couple sips

I absolutely hear what you're saying. I've had that Barrel Proof for a while and enjoy it. There are flavors that come through on the 1910 are just more complex. Granted, it's a double oaked...but the Barrel Proof Single Barrels are still some of the best values in the market currently (when you can find them). Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching!
