    SERIOUSLY ! ! ! Stop 🛑 🤚🏿
Calculate your arrival time . . . Accepting loads that's going to make you run hard is not comfortable
    Yes you CAN refuse loads
Send your office a message - tell your office , you need more time
If the load is a "drop & hook" - don't worry about it
YOU DRIVE COMFORTABLY . . . 👉🏿 GET YOUR REST . . . MAKE TIME TO USE THE REST ROOM .
Try your best to obey the speed limit . . . Get you a dash cam when you can . . . Peace ✌🏿

Female truck driver here. Each tandem hole is 250 pounds each. So if you are 3500 over on the drives, then you have to move your wheels forward 4 holes, so your trailer tires should be closer to your drive tires . I hope this helps you out. Mark the hole thst you want the bolt to go in. T-Mobile is a good internet service for truck drivers. Ask for home internet when or if you go.

Monay, suggestion, practice your straight backing as much as possible. When backing your setup is the most important thing.
Preplan your moves. When you drive in, get the big picture. When you start your swing, point your trailer towards your docking point. Once you are lined up put your trailer tandems just inside the drivers side of the yellow line.
Every time you preplan your setup, you will get much better docking.😊

It doesn't work that way and I wish people will stop spreading that bs. Getting terminated shows up on your pre employment history. Getting terminated for a safety policy violation puts you in a 2nd chance phase. Most companies won't hire you until you get at least 6 months of safe driving from another company.

The tractor will have its weight stated on the registration.
Like, example , "19,700lbs" (this is the dry weight of the tractor without any fuel in the tanks).
Automatically add the weight of 50 gallons to that dry weight.
A gallon of diesel is approximately 8 pounds. 50 gallons x 8lbs per gallon is 400 pounds.
    19,700lbs + 400lbs = 21,000lbs.
Now add your body weight and your belongings, food, water, DOT equipment, chains, etc, etc, you have onboard.
    Example: 450lbs.
    21,000lbs + 450lbs = 21,550lbs.
Round this weight off to 22,000lbs.
Your tractor is likely a standard *80,000* GVWR tractor.
    *80,000* - 22,000lbs = 58,000
Now the weight of your unloaded trailer and it's cargo, combined added together must not exceed 58,000lbs.
Now subtract the weight of your unloaded empty trailer.
    Example: 8,000lbs.
    58,000lbs - 8,000lbs = 50,000lbs
Now you know how much weight the shipper must not exceed when loading your trailer with cargo (freight).
This is how much weight you can legally transport, loaded inside the trailer.
To remain sure you'll never be overweight, always subtract a thousand pounds from the example.
So for 50,000 pounds as your exact calculated weight for limit of freight going into the trailer, always set it as 49,000lbs.
(To make up for the weight of the pallets, wrapping, etc).
When you get loaded at the shipper, always double check with them that they must not load more than 49,000 lbs into the trailer, *including* the weight of all the pallets.
Go in and have then show you what they're loading in, and confirm with them that they're not exceeding 49,000 pounds, total, including the weight of the pallets. View the forklift operator as they load the freight in. Ask how much the freight on the pallets weigh. Have them verify the total weight that went aboard with the paperwork and documents. Check it.
Always get yourself paid for all fueling stops.
Keep a diary journal log as to what you do through the 11/3 HOS clock. (Where your stops were, what you did, your two DOT Road check/Tire check 15-minute stops, fuel stops, and whatever happened). A large notebook with a heavy duty cover is handy.
A good general tactic over the road 14(11-3)/10 is like this:
    ("14/10")
On duty Not driving 15 min. walk around PreTrip.
On duty Not driving 15 min. Electronic logging, & incidental preparations.
3hr 45 minute On duty Driving.
On duty not Driving 15 min (1st of 2) DOT
    Road check/Tire check.
    Use bathroom.
    3hr 45min On duty Driving.
On duty not Driving 15 min
    (2nd of 2) DOT
    Road check/Tire check.
    Use bathroom.
Total On Duty (so far) = 8 hours
Last movement - On Duty Driving
    2hrs 30 min
Total so far = 11 hours
    Last closing movement:
    2 hours 30 min
Getting to, reaching, finding, backing, to your 10-Hour Stop
to include time to *refuel* ,
Walk around 15 min allotted PostTrip, and close out your electronic logging.
(You have only 30 minutes of margin of play before touching 14 hours, 0 minutes HOS maximum).
Now you're ready for your 10-Hour Stop. Get at least, minimally 7 hours and 45 minutes of complete sleep. Get as many 8 hour sleeps in as possible.
    My advice?
    Stay out of Truck Stops.
Use Rest Stops for 10-Hour Stops.
Never agree to, and always only do,
*Four* 14/10s in a 70 hour HOS week.
    NOT five.
If you're really out on the road OTR, during your 36hour Reset, locate a NICE Hotel (4 or 5-star) and LUXURIATE for TWO nights. It's IMPORTANT! Do your laundry in luxury, too! Take a tub bath AND showers!! RELAX in COMFORT. Watch a couple of movies on the big flat screen. LOUNGE!! Call your family in total relaxation! Spend the money on this!
    You DESERVE it!
Eat healthy good foods!! Get a 12Volt cooler refrigerator for inside your tractor on the road! Don't settle for ramen and stuff like that. Eat GOOD. (Avocadoes, etc.....)

Each hole is 250 just look at how much the load is…
Get paper and calculator then add 250 + 250 + 250 etc. keep going until you come up to or close to that weight of load and count how many 250’s you wrote on the paper and that’s the. Hole you need..
    thats one way.
Or iust divide weight by 250
But one always put your pins in the 4th , 5th or 6th or 8th hole at the beginning..
Count holes from front to back ,
I always started my pins in 4th or 6th hole first when it came to really Heavy loads.
Then it would make it easier to determine where the weight needed to be shifted to…
So if let’s say your weight is heavier in the middle…. Subtract on paper 250, 250, 250, until you get the desired weight you need for that tandem… remember steer should be 12000, back should be 34000, and 34000 all that adds up to 80,000.
So just subtract 250 a bunch of times from the tandem thats over weight until you get under 34,000 if it’s the back tandems.

The distance between the locking pin holes on the trailer will be the major factor affecting how much weight is moved per hole. This distance varies between the different trailer manufacturers, and the larger the distance between the holes, the more weight will be shifted with each hole.
The two main hole spacings you'll find are 4 inches and 6 inches. You can estimate that you will move 250 pounds per hole for 4-inch spacing, and 400 pounds per hole for 6-inch spacing. This will help you estimate how many holes you'll have to slide the trailer tandems to move the proper amount of weight necessary in order to get the axle weights legal.
You didn't show the scale ticket which would have been helpful, but assuming each hole in the tandem slider rail moves 250 pounds, you would have to slide your trailer tandems toward the front of the truck a minimum of 7 holes to transfer enough weight from your trailer tandems to your drive axles in order to get your axle weights legal.
You also said that you were over on everything which could mean that the load may need to be reworked, or they have to take some weight off of it, but without seeing your scale ticket there's no way to know. Additionally, don't feel bad if you have to go back to the shipper to have them lower the weight on any load because you are ultimately responsible when you head down the road.
You're doing fine, bad days don't last long.

Here’s a easier way to slide your tandems. Before you scale slide your all the way back. Get on the scale and weigh . All the weight should be on your drives. Reweigh load and adjust tandems forward. Take the drive weight and subtract it from the tandems. So if your drive weight is 35400 and tandems are 32600. That’s 2800 difference. Then you divide 2800 into 2. Which will be 1400. Then you should move your tandems up about 8 to 10 holes . Then reweigh. When you first start out and don’t know where to slide tandems. Slide them all the way back . Then adjust from there.

Nah don't allow them the opportunity to fire you. You have to quit before that. Terminations show up on your report. It's literally nothing you can tell a future employers for why you are terminated. It's a million things you can tell them for why you quit

Facts!!!! Every time i put it in the eighth or ninth my drives and tandems be nearly identical in weight.

  • @ItsTaysWay.
    @ItsTaysWay. 15 дней назад

Sounds like a bad annoying ass day
And for weight on tandems usually if you back up that will shift weight.
If your steers are still overweight you might have to shift your fifth-wheel platform
And typically shift of tandems takeoff takes off 250 pounds per hole

    • @SunnyIlha
      @SunnyIlha 7 дней назад

It can, down a steep grade.
With a loaded trailer pushing the tractor.
      No accelerator pedal depressed.
"Coasting" down long steep grades with a loaded trailer.
It happens driving your mountain passes, especially so.
      Be careful.

If u know u r getting fired for speeding u should get a new job before being fired. Because once you are fired for speeding if it was 10mph or over it will be very hard to find a mew job if they put it on your dac report.
