This game is basically 10 years old at this point and it still never fails to amaze me with how gorgeous and detailed nearly all of the courses are. They really went out of their way to make each area feel genuine and believable, even if it's just a wacky unrealistic kart racer where you can drive upside down and hit people with bananas and flying turtle shells.
This makes me appreciate Mario Kart 8's beautiful attention to detail. I hope none of this creativity will be lost in the next game.
Dang, this really puts it into perspective how gorgeous and detailed and just strait pretty Mario Kart 8 is. The amount of effort and detail they put in for this game is nuts. Especially for a Wii U game. (And switch for the bcp tracks that are included here, I feel they did a fantastic job with the tour tracks graphically almost every time so they don’t even feel out of place here.)

Thank you for showing this! One thing i really hope the next Mario Kart gets right is the worldbuilding. Every track is fun to drive on, sure, but it also feels justified in it's existence. Take Moo Moo Farm for example: you're not just racing trough a farm, but it's the same farm the Moo Moo Milk brand comes from, which products you can see in stores on other tracks, and you can bumb into their trucks at Toad's Turnpike! Every level really felt alive, and while contained in its own bubble, it's subtle things like that which truly make it feel like it's all part of one coherent universe!
When life goes so fast, sometimes it’s good to slow down and smell the roses
Real talk; you could make a credit sequence reminiscent of Mario Kart 64’s with this and that would be so cool. The music while soaring over each track, showing them at new angles.
Something about seeing these tracks as more than just tracks and instead worlds of their own hits different.....
Mario kart 8 is so underrated when it comes to graphics
its truly incredible to see such a gorgeus game run at 60fps ON SWITCH
I personally find it really sad how low effort the dlc tracks were in comparison
But the later bcp tracks really improved a lot! Just compare DK Mountain to its iteration in Mario Kart Tour. They added so many completely new details, entirely remodeled some turns, and the textures are just as good as in the base game
@@_vanessajaneDK mountain has good textures but the scenery is completely barren.
@@jclkaytwo I think the bcp doesn't really need to look like the base game. And it doesn't try to. It's just another artstyle that you can either like or hate.
It seems as the main purpose of the bcp was to preserve the content of mk tour and to fill the gap between mk 8 and the next big entry of the series. Nintendo didn't have to give us a dlc as big as an entire Mario Kart game.
But I also hope that the next entry will be more in the style of the base mk 8 game
@@_vanessajane it totally needs to look like the base game, because it's still the same game. you play the old and new tracks right next to each other, so there should be some stylistic cohesiveness. that's all there is to it.
I especially loved the panning shot of Squeeky Clean Sprint. Also surprised to see fully modeled Golden Foxes. Not sure if it was covered in an episode of Boundary Break, but if it was, I forgot.
This is so beautiful and SO relaxing. It's nice and we can see a lot of details that we would'nt pay attention while in a race. Plus, there's a lot of potential for animated backgrounds. Thanks for this amazing video ☺️

This video only shows off the “nitro” tracks (I put it in quotations since the tour non-city nitros are here too.) I’d have loved to see that too but hopefully there’ll be another one with those.

It's one thing to race through it, its another thing to stop and admire the track and attention to details you'd never notice. This was beautiful angles and all 🥰✨
really loved this showcase! i feel like being able to see all these tracks at different angles made me appreciate the track designers a whole lot more, seeing the details we don’t normally see & just how much effort they put into not only making these courses fun but also pretty to look at 💗

this video is so beautiful, and the mod is awesome. if i'll live long enough to buy a VR ultra-realistic set like anime/light novels, i shall use it on this game, leaving the rest of the world to fantasy RPGS. getting stuck in mario kart 8 seems like a way better fate than SAO
