Apparently, we only use the three primary colors (blue, yellow, and red) in addition to white, which is a neutral color, but we give them four colors metaphorically so that the novice trainees can understand the matter.
But in fact, you can create an infinite number of colors by mixing these three colors together and obtaining beautiful oil paintings
Primary colors are the basic colors that cannot be created by mixing other colors. In art, the primary colors are red, blue, and yellow. These colors are important in oil painting because they can be mixed to create all other colors on the color wheel.
Oil paints are a popular medium for artists because they offer a wide range of colors, are easy to blend, and have a long drying time, which allows for more flexibility in the painting process. When it comes to oil paints, there are many brands and types of paint available, each with their own unique characteristics.
White and black are important colors in oil painting, as they are used to adjust the value and tone of other colors. White oil paint is often used to create tints, which are lighter versions of a color. For example, mixing white with blue will create a lighter blue color. White can also be used to lighten other colors without significantly changing their hue.
Black oil paint, on the other hand, is often used to create shades, which are darker versions of a color. For example, mixing black with blue will create a darker blue color. Black can also be used to darken other colors without significantly changing their hue.
It's important to note that not all white and black oil paints are created equal. There are many different types of white and black pigments, each with their own unique properties. For example, titanium white is a popular white pigment that is very opaque and has a high tinting strength, while zinc white is a more transparent white pigment that is often used in glazes. Similarly, ivory black is a popular black pigment that is very opaque and has a high tinting strength, while lamp black is a more transparent black pigment that is often used in underpainting.
When selecting white and black oil colors, it's important to consider the pigment properties and choose colors that are compatible with the other colors you are using. It's also a good idea to experiment with different types of white and black pigments to find the ones that work best for your particular painting style and techniques.
It's worth noting that some artists prefer not to use black paint in their oil paintings and instead create shades by mixing complementary colors together. Complementary colors are colors that are opposite each other on the color wheel, such as red and green, blue and orange, or yellow and purple. Mixing these colors together can create a darker hue without the use of black paint.
In addition to white and black, oil paints also come in a range of other colors, including earth tones, greens, blues, reds, and yellows, among others. Many artists also mix their own colors to create custom shades and hues.

👋Good evening, dear Yasser . - What a most gorgeous painting, I can hardly find words... - We set the time for early morning, when the sun has already risen but has not yet had time to dissolve the haze that hangs stubbornly in and above the woods. The light, as seen from us, who are centered at the lower edge of this beautiful place, falls on the scenery from the left side at kind of higher altitude. The soft blue of the sky promises a pleasant warm day, but the atmosphere is still humid and wisps of mist pass by, denying us a view of the trees in the distance. They want to present themselves, but do so only shadowy, towering and with dense and almost transparent yellow-green clusters of leaves on the numerous, more or less straight trunks. It seems to be predominantly broadleaf forest, only when we look more closely, we believe to recognize a smaller coniferous tree about in the middle of the right third of our area of attention and to the left of a slanting trunk. But perhaps the fog is just playing a trick on us. Looking over to the left, we have a sunlit path in front of us, though it could also be an area overgrown with trampled down yellow-green colored grass, with perhaps a bit of soil shining through. A half-high shrub with lush green leaves and pink flowers borders the field of view to the front left. Just behind it, the lower part of a straight tall tree is obscured by these same shrubs; its bark appears brown but is light in many places, but not quite like a birch. Its branches are rather sparsely seeded halfway up, but are probably more numerous, more branched, and also blessed with more foliage than further down; the more light, the richer the foliage. Also to the right stands a stately tall deciduous tree with a few smaller offshoots near it and a low sappy green bush situated in front of its site towards us. It looks the same, but its trunk forks about two, three meters above the ground into two somewhat thinner stems, just below the first branches, and only from there onwards it grows foliage. At greater heights, we find more branches and thinner twigs, again bearing more leaves, whose average color is green, taking on more yellow here and there in the light of the rising sun, and where shadows hit also a little brown. Just behind it, the fog still billows between the trees and we can no longer make out any details of the forest except for a few haze-veiled trunks. So now we direct our eyes straight ahead, to where the supposed path or forest floor is interrupted exactly in the middle by a low collection of flowering grasses, perched like a small hill on the meadow. In an inverted S-shape, an unbroken row of marvelous ornamental shrubs extends from there around a building to behind its rear wall, enclosing at the rear right-hand corner of the house, as seen from us, a wrought-iron stand lantern with a pointed cover that emits a bright glow all around; the glass seems to be tinted yellow, so the light emitted appears pale yellow. The leaves of the shrubs hit by the light there show a yellow and orange hue interspersed with lighter and greener areas; closer to us they bear pink flowers among their greenish-yellow leaves, and the bush standing to the right of the flowering grass displays more clearly its dense green foliage. Outside, facing the meadow, light-flowered low plants duck into the shadows of the shrubs that have grown taller on the back corner of the house than those directly in front of us. The residential building, which we now take a closer look at, could be built of bricks, which have received a smooth, possibly pale beige exterior plaster, which, however, shows a reddish brown due to the incidence of light and / or reflected ambient colors. We don't think it's wood. On the sunlit front gable end, below the pediment, we see a window with a light brown frame, from which warm yellow light penetrates to the outside. It could be half open, because at its half height we make out a cross brace by which it might be pushed up or pulled down. There is also an exterior window sill there. Next, we admire the most beautiful artfully made pointed roof we have ever seen. The roof is riet roofed. Riet refers to the reeds growing on banks or marshy terrain, which in many places are used in a dried state for roofing. A smoking brick chimney with an air shutter is located on the rear gable end, which catches a bit of sunlight, and speaks of either a burning fireplace in the house due to still fresh temperatures inside and outside, or boiling water on a stove fed with wood or coal. The roof extends down and also covers an extension on the front right main wall, which might just be a small-scale entrance hall, because there is also a slightly recessed entrance door, from which a warm yellowish light penetrates through the four small window panes that form the upper part of the door. To the right, towards the back of the house, there is another window, a mullioned window with six panes, over which the reeded roof has a slight curvature. Warm yellow light also falls outside from the room behind it, the glow of which also hits the plants in front of it. Back at the front gable end, we again admire a row of flowering bushes, the tallest of which is a climber whose tendrils extend along the facade just up to the roof. In the shadow, it appears a darker blue-green; the sections that are more exposed to the light are yellower, but all bear the same beautiful pinkish-white flowers to the right. The adjoining shrubs grow lower and show up in yellowish- green, yellowish-orange and a white-yellow dress on the left-hand corner of the gable wall. We take a quick look around that corner and at the trees behind the house, from which we have discovered some branches with greenish and reddish foliage above the roof, and one gaze towards the edge of the forest, from where we have heard some bird sounds, but cannot make out the origin. And since no other life shows up here, we decide to head back home. - Dear Yasser, we know you are excellent at what you do, but for this artwork you'll get an upgrade from the universe ! Outstanding gorgeous colors, masterfully crafted, wonderful details, and the overall motif is sooo beautiful, heartwarming, lovely... ! Thank you so much, be blessed. And have a good night.💯❤
