Hey thanks! Yes, things are good... Just different directions, and a little busier than usual. I'll get back around to some good ole Forbidden Lands videos one of these days. 🙂
Yes! And thank you for the tactical encouragement! LOL! (Always gotta keep learning). The grapple was very helpful in this one. The enemy had to spend time breaking free, then reclaim his dropped weapon. Shove, Feint, Grapple... And most of all, the ambush! The PCs were able to control the timing and environment of the combat which is crucial!
@@Orang3zRPG , marvelous. Again, loved the strategy and implementation. It's something that military experience taught me long and hard; achieve victory before you ever start the battle. Cheat, in other words. Stealth, surprise, deception, localized numerical advantage, speed, massed volume of projectile damage, etc. In my solo adventuring my heroes generally split most of their time between conducting reconnaissance and mustering NPC forces. It's amazing how much violence with a surprise attack just before dawn by a bunch of coin rich peasants can be inflicted after sentries and defences are neutralized. LOL
All is well, and thank you. I do plan on creating some more FL videos in the future... Timing is one of those things for me. Inspiration also. I recently obtained the Bloodmarch expansion and would love to dive into that one!
Awesome! I'm doing great these days, thanks. I plan on jumping back into the you tubes with some more FL stuff soon! I can't wait to get my copy of the latest release. 👍
Great story as always! I'm enjoying how the adventure is developing! I would like to see more "live" dice results during the video, because I feel is more engagement.
Yes, thank you!!! Glad you liked em. 🙂I am doing very well, and hope the same for you. I plan to get back in the YT saddle again one of these days... More maps and dungeons, more campaign story, more RPG (solo and with my group).
Wow lvl 3 Axe is OP! Crits on every hit, no WP cost?! It's fun though! 🤣 We also have a family FbL game going and my daughter (age 10 😂) plays a Wolfkin Fighter and just picked up Hammer Fighter. The amount of dice she rolls is silly! But fun.😉 I do find I need to 'tone down' the grim and perilous nature of FbL, but not too much....
The Axe Fighter talent is very dangerous! Imagine when your PCs face off against an enemy that is renowned for his or her axe fighting abilities?!?! That makes it tense! I love that you play with your family! That's awesome. And I agree... rolling lots of dice is FUN! 🙂
Yes! I'll have to put that into a vid somewhere... But here's the quick elevator speech- Started in 1987 (Jr High age) with Star Frontiers and very soon after found Basic D&D. Fell in LOVE with both games. Started playing AD&D 1 or 2 years later... Received (birthday gift from my folks) the Forgotten Realms box set when it released. Messed around with our own homebrew games, WEG Star Wars, Oriental Adventures AD&D etc. Fast forward to being a dad, having a family and kids with incredible imaginations- 3E, 4E, 5E, Star Wars, and now... Forbidden Lands! 🙂 What about you? I'd love to hear.
@Orang3zRPG Cool. Just checking in on ya, man. Glad to hear you're doing good. Looking forward to hearing ya when you get a chance. 🤓👊Just got my FL Bloodmarch and Book of Beasts. Looking forward to utilizing that for my long-distance online FL game with my buddies from college way, way back. 😀
Hi, I still don't have a lot of time to watch all the videos you posted but they are still on my list,sure!...As i'm still building characters I'm coming back to you with a question: In the gamemaster book it is said that some dwarfs specially like hallucinogen mushrooms and some others , on drivethru for example, can get worn on the bottle....I would like to incorporate this aspect to some of my characters, the notion of addiction to a product or another, the effect of lack or excess and toxicology...The books don't come with any rule about it, do you or maybe someone else experimented in Rpg would have an idea for an houserule? Thanks by advance if you get inspired, give me a link or can answer and thanks even if you can't!
I'd certainly try to keep this kind of thing simple. Maybe draw inspiration from the magic mishap (The caster must not miss a day without drinking alcohol for X number of days, something like that). If the addiction isn't met, there'd be some sort of mechanical penalty... And it would get worse before it got better (say the PC was trying to beat the addiction). Hope this helps! 👍
@@Orang3zRPG Yes that' close to my thinking but better worded,so that's an help...didin't think to the magic mishap, will look better at this but yes I agree it must be kept simple...Thanks , really appreciate your answer, that's very kind, all my respect and consideration, mate!
If memory serves... I found this one on the Free League's website, in their forums. Check out my shared Drive folder! You'll find a copy there. 🤓 The link is in some/ most? of my video descriptions (usually ones with dungeon crawl maps). I'll add it to this video as well. 👍 Cheers!
You’re a life saver. There was an old Reddit post that had a drive link that has since expired and I was nervous that I missed my chance. I love the way you have utilized the printed map and want to do something similar for my GM notes. Thank you!

I hope you are well! Looking forward to more videos! 😃
Yeah, I need to get around to a "Season 2" one of these days. 🙂
@@Orang3zRPG Looking forward to it! 😃
