My Husband and I are reminiscing off these videos!! Much love from the Carolinas (Newark, Jersey natives) ❤😊
Thanks Porchia. Thanks to you and your husband for supporting our channel. -Matt DV
Yes, this is my husband‘s favorite fish market. He grew up right in those buildings so this is where he will always go to and still go to get his fish sandwiches.
Nice! Georgia King Village. Yes!
Man do I miss brick city. I'm born and raised there. It feels good seeing a RUclipsr representing my home town. You got a new subbie. Thanks for sharing.
Wow! THANK YOU!
@Matt DV you're welcome, my pleasure
I do too Shelly I was born and raised there also. I get see the change in my city.
That porgie at $7 bux and change cleaned and fried is a super bargain ! Clams bring it to 14…can’t beat that.
Yes, I should have stressed that more in the video. That's a good deal right? lol Thanks
That's a nice size porgy, a nice sammich. Wait...WHAT? You put the hood on that fish. Hot sauce and tartar then wash it down with some grape soda. That's Newark.
I feel bad for people that don't have access to fish markets like that. Nothing beats picking the fish you want and having it prepared right there.
Facts! It's definitely a blessing to have access.
I went there yesterday !!! You are true to your word. The fish is fresh. Great portions at a reasonable price !!! Great spot to enjoy seafood :)
Nice.. thank you.. much love to you all the way from Fort Worth Texas....ie... great road trip
Thank you Toney!
Couldn't agree more!
Thank for sharing that . Will visit soon .
You are welcome. Thanks for tuning in to the channel.
That fish look fye as hell.
Yes! I was thinking of going there today for some fresh...
It's one of the best fish spots in North Jersey. 2nd spot is in ChillTown Jersey City at the beggars lot towards the end of Monticello Ave. They have the "ling" whiting fish there as well.
Thank you.
I used to get a whole Tilapia fried with fries & a couple of slices of whole wheat bread & a complimentary wedge of lemon 👍
Thanks! I will check them out!
Hello and good day to you ladies and gentlemen watching this video😄😉
I am a hundred percent out on raw clams. The porgie looks good!
I just went here for the first time on Friday and got the fried fish combo so good! Might have to make a return trip, the parking lot is kinda crowded tho!
Yes the Parking lot can get congested. Especially on Friday. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you.
This my hood right here!!!

Have you been at least 10 yrs.. the porgies were my favorite. Just like that my father turned me on to the spot. Watching the video we'll be back soon 😃
Biggest piece of fried fish I ever seen!
Mmmm those clams look so good and fresh and that fish…whoolaud that’s some good eating.
Yo I love Porgy's. That one looks well seasoned and delicious
Hey man! Yes, it was seasoned to perfection and delicious.

I'm so NEWARK💖....I was scrolling and West Market St. caught my eye. I know the Bricks my city when I see it. I hit that like and subscribe button for you Bruh😊
Thanks Shanda!!! Peace, and see you soon.
I remember when the bar across the street "351" was jumping 💯
Wow 😮 you can see the steam coming out of the fish 🐟 . Piping hot ♨️ best way to it.
Yes I agree, along with a little hot sauce and boom!
That whiting price was good. $2,99/lb. In Plainfield, we paying $4.99/lb.
I agree. It was a hard choice then the manager helped me decide lol. 3.29 for Porgie, 2.99 for whiting. Oh yea Red Snapper a whopping 14.99.
Wow! That looks good 👍🏼
Looks delicious 😋
Normally I don’t mess with porgies because of the bones but im tempted to go there tmw after visiting my nephew in the hospital.😂😂😂
Yes, go for it. Also, I hope your nephew is ok.
Great video brother 👍 I do love me some clams, but I like hot sauce on mine. I've never tried ketchup, I'll give it a try. NOW! The Porgy looked & sounded absolutely amazing, man o man, that crunch. You about to make me move to NJ. Have a great weekend, brother. 👍
My man
I really miss eating porkie it hard to find in GA

lol, YEP!
Lol... @ no head no heart...😂
I saw this one before lol
One thing that I know about up north is that you can find fish markets easily. I don't eat clams raw. But do you prefer ketchup over hot sauce?
I prefer both ketchup and hot sauce, but I normally eat them with hot sauce and lemon juice.
I LOVE Newark !!! This looks like a tasty spot :) Do they have fries?
Yes, they have fries, crabs, shrimp, etc. Good spot.
@@MattDV Thank You for your reply :) That was a big piece of fish !!! Yummy You make GREAT videos . Take care
I remember when that was a food supermkt.
@@countryboi5828 That's going way back. 😃
@@Willa4420. Are u in Newark? I'll bet that restaurant gets all the hospital workers for lunch.
Question for you. Do you have a fabulous metabolism or do you exercise everyday or do you only eat once a day? I want to eat everything you show in your videos, but I'd end up unable to walk or breathe. That place there looked incredible!
lol
That fishe look good but I can't do nothing with no shellfish God bless you bro I ain't doing no scavengers of the sea. I just can't it don't even look good it looks straight slimy and nasty, anywho

That porgie 🐠 looks amazing 😋 especially since I’m am hungry
Hi Matt, Porgie is known to have a lot of bones, but you don't seem to pick out the bones. I am scared to eat fish have a lot of bones. I have to say look so good. I also wish that I had the nerve to buy fish and keep the head for broth, but it gross me out.
I'm Going Tomorrow!!!!! 😋😋😋
Amazing vlog, which camera do you use man?
Hey thanks. I'm using the iPhone 12 max pro.
Matt DV I live right behind there GKV🤣🤣🥂🏙️there porgie's and the cod and fried crab 🦀 whit'es in the bag
The Village! I get the bags when family come from out of town. It's something about picking out the fish, having them clean, and fry it. This place is a hidden GEM in Newark.
Porgy is above average for mercury level. Don’t eat them too much.
They are delicious. I love most seafood , But I'm truly a Salmon guy.
Does the Porgy have bones in it?
Hey Wray and Nephew. Yes indeed. They do.
I miss my east cost fish market fresh fish then cooked Yummy
Good job on this. Let’s get some more. And rest those knees 😊
lol thank you.
I'm living in Colorado currently...but been there last year at the same area visiting...more power to you my brother 🙏🏿

I never heard of that type of fish 🐟. Looked yummy 😋 another great video.
Thank you.
Y’all probably call it by a different name, although it might thrive in the Atlantic Ocean.
You make everything look good even the clams 😂😂😂

The Asian Lady gone i recall
When he started working for her over 25 year ago. People get back to making money from natural abilities
Yes the Lady. I have not see her for several years.
Lemon juice will soften a fish bone .That’s why they are served with bone in fish.Don’t know if it’s true.
We need to get lunch one day!
👁 👁
👄 Yeah I live in Maplewood MattTV📺 should do a meet and greet 👀🙂
This seafood spot is the best in Newark
My brother was born there at Martin -Luther🤣🤣yes true

I reminisce off of you
Peace Alpha. Thanks for watching.
We use to deepfry fresh porgies (from Hyannis Port) and cut up potatoes at the speakeasy in Brewerytown Philly.
