Normally I don't like stories, movies or tv shows where the monster is a human with powers but with this episode I love it so much that I never get bored of this episode no matter how many times I watch it it's one of my favorite episodes.

Wondering how many Stephen king fans out there???… This episode mentions Billy Soams (the store kid). Stephen kings story “storm of the century” also has a grocery store boy named Billy Soams lol.
@@Shadowofdeath1995 yeah I was a pretty big Stephen king fan. Also a twilight zone fan who’s seen all the episodes several times. There’s a few times Stephen king clearly copies something from twilight zone. Another example. I’m bad at remembering episode names, but theirs a twilight zone episode where it’s a plane flight and they actually “rip thru time” and go they some kind of time warp. And the passengers are taken back to the dinosaur days. Anyways Stephen king wrote a very similar story called the langoliers. It’s pretty good. It’s impossible to not see the connection. 😊
I do love this episode a lot but I’m not sure it’s my favorite. I really love the episode “next stop willoby”, “mirror image”, and that episode where the guy trapped the devil and that stranger let the devil out (can’t remember the name). There are so many good episodes it’s nearly impossible to have a favorite. I was scared to death of the living doll episode when I was a kid “Hi… my name is talking Tina”…. Lol. Or that creepy episode of that lady who fell asleep in that shopping center (that mannequin episode)
@@Shadowofdeath1995 yes! The howling man! Very good. I use to watch that episode “Nick of time” a lot too. I really liked the couple a lot and thought it was fascinating that some people would stay and be obsessed with knowing their future (like that last couple that got trapped) lol

“This fucker even brings a couple extra cans of tomato soup”

Bag licker lol
I dunno if I may self-promote, but I'm just editing my blind reaction to this episode right now. :)
Thanks

Anthony is a stand in for every tyrant and boss with power over life in their hands.
Just saw the interview of Bill Mumy who played Anthony!!! Seemed so humble and grounded.
That would be a pretty bad ass

Slightly in a crazy way we should be thinking happy thoughts life is too short.
Must comment thank you
but you don't KILL PEOPLE who don't think happy thoughts. that's the point.

Don't The Simpson's parody this? Where Bart has the powers?
Yes they did so did Johnny Bravo, if I recall
Yes i saw it on Disney plus and i fig it was from twilight zone..
In an interview with Bill Mumy he mentioned that he felt like a super hero when he played Anthony even though he knew wasn't playing a super hero.

I imagine Anthony is what the god of the bible would be if there was a heaven
Now i turly know the saying of calling a child a little monster. Lol
.
Sending something to the cornfield is a euphemism for putting it UNDER the cornfield burying it
Medea would had put that little boy in check with her mind lol.
when he pulls the tail of the gopher with three heads it has a long wiggly tail, so he probably made it a mutant monster gopher
6:53 to be honest, if I was in that situation I'd be doing whatever I could to keep Anthony happy. So I can't blame that guy at all.
But would that be pretending to live?
I would rather die so if probably just kill myself 🤷🏾♀️ or try to kill him.
I'd hide my thoughts and sneak up and stab that little evil bastard to death
2:33 "a maintenance service elevator still in operation, waiting for you"

Fallout 3's Betty inspiration

Midnight was also a great as well as the couple who woke up hungover inside a dollhouse.
If this was my kid in real life after he did this tv espsiode he would not been able to come home with me lol.
Cornfield = Biblical Heaven...
I am surprised they have not remake it.
Because there's only 1 Billy Mumy (wink!)........
Anthony is KIM JONG UN. Cornfield is Siberia during the USSR.
More like Trump and his delusional followers.
Anthony is probably the prequel to the Children of the Corn and Issac Croner
I always reference this episode when describing a narcissistic person especially a teenager
Can u do review they one with the talking doll.
Talking Tina maybe at sometime point. Currently in Film School not much free time.
Talking about the living doll.
wonder how many kids will get killed in the new movie
I was just stupid you didn't explain how going to a cornfield is a bad thing??
Maybe when you get sent there you turn into a corn stalk?? I just know it must be bad to be sent there and you never return.
@@pinkfreud62 so doesn't that mimic death in a way so wouldn't the corn stock be symbolization for death because you never returned from that
