    Thank you for the information. I just got a bass and have been trying to teach myself. Can't afford lessons right now but I have some basic books and Discover Double Bass for now. Thanks I'll start practicing the Chromatic scale now

    I now do chromatics scales with my own practice and I do them with my students. I was not trained to do this as a young player.

    Very nice I wish though that you’d have called out the notes as playing for beginners. Is Chromatic 1/2 steps ?

    Hi just wondering if it's possible to get a tutorial for notes. Like where the note that is the open A on a D string. Need to learn for orchestra but cant figure it out for life of me. For all strings be good to know where they are. Hope be so helpfull
