Your adjustable pulley for the cambelt, you've got it upside down, the 2 holes for the tensioning tool should be at the bottom. If you set it up using info for a GTO it would be correct but it's all different parts and it's opposite. Check the correct manual. The way you've got it, the pulley will be seized as it will bind on the arm. That's unless you modded it. Apart from that, brilliant work, keep up the motivation, winter is always hard.
@@1magnit yup I've just looked at my info. I've got two sets of instructions. One goes up one goes down. I'll double check but I had a feeling it was rubbing at the top. I'll check now. Cheers
the most powerful version one...there have 2 type version, single cam and twin cam.....for perfect build it can reach 1200hp 1,324nm...quite fast. If you take head set and put in 6G75T single cam, simply it's like a stoker kit to 4.0L...yeah 1200hp 1,435nm...
Hey bro im gonna build my Mivec 6g74 in my pajero, I wanna make power, But i dont think boosting its a good option when its my only legal car, I thought about putting a magna intake manifold and doing custom headers and a full exhaust
Thanks man I always appreciate your feedback. And yes, after working for mitsubishi for 13 years I have replaced a few. Usually there was always a reason of absolutely stuffed plugs. Sometimes bad coil earth cabling. The people that always drove gdi's were the same because they were the cheapest cars you could buy....just drive till it broke. Also there's not much difference in the basic look/design to the factory coils. Obviously they have 2 outlets on them...they could have been made by the same factory?
@@g-mech1244 The failure point is the insulation, with a weak mixture (lean burn), the voltage rises higher before the spark. Likewise with boost, the voltage rises far higher before the spark due to the extra cylinder pressure. Normal type coils are earth return and so the voltage inside the boot wants to return to earth and it does so by punching a hole in it once the voltage has risen. With a wasted spark system it's not earth return, it's an isolating transformer style, it wants to return to the other terminal so it's never going to fail in the same way. The forums are full of those wanting to do COP, they just don't understand.
That's the engine I want for my Starion. Great job on the build

Yup its correct with the holes at the top. It's binds with the holes at the bottom. Cheers
@@g-mech1244 You need to do a bit more homework on that, before the valves bend.

Hello. Which cam gears do you use? 6g74 or 6g72?
The original 72 mivec gears.
@@g-mech1244 thanks🙌
where did you buy the heads? and also is there any extra wiring with the dohc?
Based on the oil pan he bought it 6g74 mivec is from a pajero evolution
Excellent 👌
Hi. i need 1 set for head Block
Your GDI coils are well known for failing. COP is a downgrade from wasted spark. For that very reason.

We'll see how they go. I no biggy if it doesn't work out. Thanks
