Great video! Really informative. I couldn't imagine paying that much attention to my exercise routine and weighing all of my food on a daily basis though. At that level, it's more of an obsession than anything else.

Did one Test only cycle in my early 40s and broke PRs in lifts I didn't train during the cycle and hadn't trained in years. I gained around 23lbs (some of that water, granted) and put 1" on arms in 12 weeks.

Its true that most women do not like massive bodybuilders but they do like lean athletic and muscular. The problem is people go in being like ill just buiild some muscle get stronger, but once they reach that point theyre not satisfied then want to get bigger. It may start like i just need to lean out and look shredded, but it ends up with people becoming massive. Your strength increases so you lift more, and as you lift more your muscles grow and its a never ending cycle of not being happy with the physique that you have.

I did a cycle in my mid twenties. One of my best friends was a pro bodybuilder and also trained lots of fitness models.
I gained 200 pounds on my bench in 3 months and gained 25 pounds.
I was getting weird cramps in my face and some other weird side effects, so I quit after that.

Steroids/testosterone like anything else has a balance. The problems with a lot of people who take them is they take insane levels. Levels that are 5x, 10x, 15x the max normal range. If someone wanted to be healthy they could get great results by just taking testosterone to achieve levels that are 50% more than the natural max or 100% double the natural max. So if the normal max test levels are 1000ng/dl then take testosterone to get to 1500-2000ng/dl. Remember a man's natural max testosterone is from the 17-25 years old. Also most men won't ever naturally have more than 800ng/dl. So if you take testosterone to achieve levels of 1500-1800nd/dl your gonna have insane benefits from it. Without nearly as much side effects. Testosterone influences tons of things inside our body. But most of the time it causes death or life threatening issues from its impact on the heart. It increases the size of the heart because the heart has androgen receptors as well. Also maybe even worse it causes plaque to build up because of its impact on cholesterol. Trt is proof that testosterone can be given artificially to our body without issues as long as it's not in crazy amounts. A body builder who died at 25 had a testosterone level of 55,000ng/dl. Which means he had about 55 times the max a normal man can produce. Anything given at 55 times the normal dose will kill you or cause serious issues. Take 55 times the recommended amount of protein in a day and see how long your kidneys last. Take 55 times the recommended amount of creatine a day and see hlw long your kidneys last. The body naturally makes 1g of creatine a day. Take 55g of creatine daily and see how that goes. Your kidneys will fail in a months time.

His figures for growth are based on a normal diet though. A large percentage of people can put on more than 20 lbs. in a year by overeating and working out like its their job followed by a cutting phase where they lower their calorie intake. It is really bad for you but there you have it.

    • @malte4984

then again it depends a LOT on your genetic response to the drugs, and like you said if you're cutting for a bodybuilding show or something then even steroids won't make you grow very much.

Max, unless you're on a really healthy diet and are working out hard, you're going to be putting on a lot of weight by taking creatine and not necessarily muscle. I know girls who have taken it in the past because they wanted a bigger ass.

That's pretty funny, because something similar happened to me, and I'm a GUY. I took I think 15ml of under-the-tongue creatine a day on workout days when I was in the Navy, and rode a bike a lot to save wear and tear on my knees. I ended up with a badonkadonk to this day, and that was back in 2003. I didn't have much of an ass as a teenager.

Max, you are a nice guy I am sure.. but Max does not fit into the original Office Blokes demeanor/attitude/humor that this channel started on.. And now its only Daz and Max.. i did not find any connection to the banter between you two. This is a sitcom that has jumped the shark. And then, for me, this video content is not interesting to watch others try to react to.. Have fun Mike on vacation!
