100%. Any one of us could have done this same segment. Joe could have just done it on his own albeit boringly. Nothing unknown was revealed. Obviously the journalist only knows what he knows, but it’s not informative if he doesn’t know anything new from what’s already public.

Varane was great. Cassie can still turn it around. Zlatan came on a free, definitive win. Erickson came on a free, great singing.

Varane didn't even play 100 games in 3 years and cost almost £90m in transfer fees and wages. Way too unreliable throughout.
Casemiro cost £70m and is the highest earner on £17m per year, yet his ability sharply declined after one fairly good season. He's not going to get any quicker now.
Zlatan scored a lot of goals for one season but we paid him £400k per week for 2 seasons, he also slowed our play down a lot and every attack and chance had to go through him.
Eriksen is on £12m per year and was very good for the first 2/3 of his first season until his injury vs Reading, since then he has struggled to get into this team and isn't fit enough or strong enough for the premier league anymore.
All about perspective. We need to stop these kinds of deals.

Bit of publicity for the channel but nothing we didn't already know, let's get our business done early in the window and build a good pre season. A massive review of exactly why we were getting so many significant injuries. Serious questions need to be asked of the backroom team. Medical dep, training methods, recovery, preparation for games.
I see a fair bit of criticism in the comments for a lack of anything new. I think it’s fair in some ways and not in others. This is definitely not an update or new detail. It is much more of a discussion. I like getting different views so it’s not the same echo chamber of thoughts and Ineos seem to be keeping their cards closer to their chest, so I’m happy with there not being loads of leaks. That said, we expect journalists to have angles we don’t and this lacks that, so I’m not sure it adds any value to the discussion at all.
