I used to tell people back in 1978 when the song first came out that I wanted this song played at my funeral, so that people could really understand the lyrics and what the writer is saying. I was a young man then.
While most of the guys went crazy for Stairway to Heaven, I was mesmerized with this song instead. Amazed on what you did on the instrumental part.

I LOVE BOTHE OF THEM...
One of the nice things about growing up in the 70s is that we got exposed to all sorts of music because we only had a few radio stations at the time. I grew up in NY so we had WABC and they played everything from R&B to rock to folk.. so this song really brings me back as it was and still is one of my all time favorites. Must admit that getting older, the lyrics resonate much more with me. Just wish I could even come close to hitting those notes. But most importantly, this guitar playing is amazing! I keep playing this over and over for just the guitar!

First time I heard this song was the "Highlander" TV series in the 90's. Then I found out my mom used to listen to this in college.

great guitar player. I'm very jealous. I tried to learn guitar twice and failed both times. Dust In the wind is the only song I ever played with me playing the melody and my guitar teacher playing the chords. Wish I recorded it. Now I'm 73 years old with stiff fingers. doubt I can do it again.

I like the karaoke version of this, but I must comment that I wish it had been in Am and not Abm. String instruments that could use this (violin for me) that don't want to detune (can't capo) or attempt to play in Abm can't play this like the original in the instrumental bridge. I notice you've tuned a 1/2 step low for other renditions as well. Curious why that 1/2 step detune suited you?
