Sorry, I'm very hype today for a few reasons. But today, we're unboxing and writing with the new TWSBI Eco Glow Green!! Yes, I also show it glowing in the dark... in a closet. lmao

So I'm imagining my pen closet when I sleep or it might entertain the cats if it's on the desk. I rotate using pens in the morning leaving yesterday's pen out.

I got mine yesterday. I agree this is more jade than the jade you showed. I have pennonia csillant nettle ink in mine. I have to match my pen and ink.
Ooo that’s a pretty ink, nice match! I also like to be matchy matchy but soentines I can justify ways not to be in my head. Glow in the dark = do whatever I want 😂😂
I decided that it was different enough from the Jade that I needed it! I agree that the Jade and Green Glow look good side by side. The glow is really bright! It’s so much fun. I also like how the red finial looks on the Green Glow. Thanks for the video!

Oh my God, Manda I just received mine today too 🤣I got an email from pure pens that they're back in stock. I got mine in Fine nib. Love the pen, really lovely. I put the " Spring fields" by Dominant industry in it. Love your purple ink/ green combo. I just hope they don't start the whole glown in the dark rainbow color collection of pens, because in that case I'm screwed and my wallet's not gonna like me 🤣

@@inksplat I put the " Spring fields" by Dominant industry in mine. And I think it may actually be a perfect match. I might just keep it inked with it permanently. 😁. I would love to have a pink or purple glow in the dark but I think that yellow would be pretty cool too. They better not go down that road though lol.
i ordered mine as a 1.1 stub. I was thinking i would want an exciting ink in it so I should get a big nib. I havent decided on an ink yet. Mybe some thing neon or super shimmery.... Thank you for hiding inn your closet for us. Your the best!! ;)

The big question is will the glow in the dark last? I have had products that stopped glowing rather quickly.
That is a good question! we'll find out! I'll try to report back in a while :D
Way too much fun. Mine (a stub) sits on my bedside table…”charging” under my lamp while I read for and hour or so before turning out the light to go to sleep. Then it bursts forth with glorious radiant light. Love it. Oh! And it writes too!

Yes!!! I got mine today too and haven’t even opened it yet. But I did pick up some ink samples too, all from Vanness, so it might just be time to go and do that. ✒️💚💜🖋
I thought about using an ink sample, but I want to use most of my new ones in 30 inks so I held off! haha what nib size did you get?
@@inksplat I got a fine nib. I’ve been really into those lately and TWSBI has great ones! I picked up a sample of Robert Oster Sydney Darling Harbor and I think that’s what I’ll put in it. I’m sorta copying you. 🤘🏼😹
I would get a glow in the dark, neon, or invisible uv ink to go with that pen.
I thought about using my sample of noodler’s firefly but I couldn’t find it in the 5 seconds I took to look for it. 😂
I really like the idea of having a secret message pen. But I would use it to draw the skeletons in my animal drawings. So cool

That looks sooooooo cool. Not getting one though because I just pulled the trigger on my grail pen. Sort of a “you survived” gift to myself for (almost) getting through this tough show. Getting it early because my friend is driving here from the US so I’m taking advantage of free US shipping and duties crossing the border.

I ordered one in medium, but annoyingly the stock indication where I bought it was incorrect so now I need to wait for them to get it back in stock, which could be a couple of weeks....

I am going to arrrive in New York in October , and am seeking advice about good stationary shops ( brick & mortar) there, especially carrying good stock of inks . Any advice from you all, ink lovers ?
I know that Yoseka Stationery is in New York, as well as Fountain Pen Hospital! I’ll add a community post and see if we get any other suggestions. :)
It’s cool!! Tho, using my Eco Rose Gold ( as I am while watching) it *really* makes me want to see it with gold (or rose gold, black, or even a hematite-like finish!!) hardware instead of silver/white metal. 😭🤷♀️
How long did the glow from strong to zero? 20minutes? 5 minutes?
I don't know if I will get this or not. I'm really wanting a new pen but I don't know what to get.

Did you have to charge it for long before you got that result? It looks very bright! I'm not into neon or brights, so it isn't on my shopping list...but it looks like fun. :)
I did set it in a very well sunlit room for a while before I did the 2nd part of the video, but it did glow a little right out of the box!
So i'm guessing you couldn't keep it with your other pens.. it would keep them up all night! 😂
