@@TrailguidePictures Seriously, Thank you for not wasting everyone's time and just getting to it! And thanks for a great and simple walkthrough as well.
Thanks, I work in a primary school and take out students going through difficult times and this is one project I've completed with them and they love it.
Used this for a pull cord for my safety release on my halibut anchor system. Everyone loved it and wants to know how to do the same thing hahaha. Thanks!
For those confused like me, if yours is twisting so much it looks like DNA, you need to go right, left, right, left all the aay down. For those being agressive for no reason, rewatch the video. He starts out on the right to make the end, and starts on the left, he then says to repeat and when it clips to the next portion, he is once again making a left loop. It makes sense for there to be confusion. It's fine to give tips and help, but there's no need to be rude and aggressive.
Modified this by putting a small carabiner at the opposite end, now I can take my leatherman squirt on and off my keys at any time with ease. Thank you for showing me this simple yet beautiful knot!
5 inches would've been way too long for the amount of cord used. I started at 4 and had to undo it and go down to 3. Liked the video, though. Super clear. We'll be trying to make these in our 4-H club soon.
Nice video. Can you do a demos of how to lengthen a paracord like the one you made. Most of the paracords with carabiners on the market are too short and the keys don’t sit deep in the pocket.
I did mine with a shoestring, and it looks OK. Same problem as with others, a little "twist". Just pull down a well as out. Also, if you do it with a shoestring, you have to knot off the ends when you're done tying them because you can't burn the strings.
Be careful when burning the cord... I learnt the hard way.... I burnt the cord and then some of the melted cord got on me and now I have some burns as a souvenir 😒.
I am trying to figure out how to make it a fastener, for both ends. To make the lanyard for a pair of binoculars. Would also be good to figure out, the 3 coloured braid.
I accidentally made this exact same thing but with out the key ring. If you can't get the first couple weaves done with out something to hold the loops use something the has an opening (I used a carabineer) and start like you would to make a bracelet. Once you have a few weaves done take the item out of the end and push the weaves down to get rid to the extra that is now there
NATAF SURVIVAL yes sir. Pay attention to where he puts the cord. Double helix is the same knot. It took me forever to learn this knot but I got it and make jewelry from time to time for my gf and daughter
Oh, so it's the same weave as a paracord bracelet, just an extra step to pull the cord tight at the end that's not connected to anything. Well shoot, that isn't so tough. Thanks!
Watched the video in slow mo 3 times and still messed it up. Mine twists like a barber pole..it actually looks good, it's just not what you made lol. I must have pulled way too tight each time or flipped something on every knot! Either way, thanks for the tutorial, new sub here!
Normally speaking, the last thing you want from a tutorial is it being all over in a flash, or in 90 seconds. Going too fast, for those being tutored to follow, is likely the most common fault you come across in tutorial videos. However, that's not the case here, it's easy to follow so everyone's happy. Not only people who wish to learn the knot/weave, but those who act as though the air in the room is running out + they don't have long to live so they want everything to happen in a hurry + anything that will help make that possible. I expect someone could shave a few seconds off here, if they wanted to, no doubt 90 seconds seems like dragging your heels, to some folks. But why it only applies to some things, + not others, makes me wonder........ You don't see these people running around the supermarket, do you? Anyway, done right, beats done fast, for me.......... You managed both, so good on ya!
New England Trucker Paracord is available in a range of sizes from 0.75mm to 6mm and a range of colours. The most commonly used are 550 (4mm) and 425 (3mm). I’d guess this project uses 550. Generally, the larger sizes are used to give structure and the smaller sizes decoration. The inner core can be removed leaving the coloured sheathing to be used for decoration. Without the inner core the cord is flattened making it easier to weave and reduces the overall bulk of the project. Here’s an example of a project using different sizes and de-cored paracord ruclips.net/video/y0AzV-cuLf8/видео.html.
90 seconds lol I don’t think so sir, maybe without time lapse and camera play the links just magically appeared before you even began to make them and then out of nowhere your already done and cinging the ends
Had to go to a different video (not yours) to learn how to do it right. You need to work on more detailed instructions instead of speed of instruction.
Thank you for cutting to the chase right away instead of chattering on while your hands gestured, like some folks have done. Solid info!
Thank you.

A friend of mine made me one of these in 1986 when we were in the army. Still have it.
Love that.. Thanks for sharing.
A piece of history
Perfect way to use leftover cords to make these in keychains. I have a lot of leftovers and I’m glad there’s a way to use them as well
Thanks, I work in a primary school and take out students going through difficult times and this is one project I've completed with them and they love it.
Instructions unclear, created DNA matrix of a cobra. Please send anti-venom.
Bro same lmao
DNA knots are cool too. I did that to make a handle on a hatchet once, worked out fine.
Same mine twisted I tried it on two different types too
broo same 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Don’t tie your knots super tight and that should fix it
Just followed this video. Came out perfect on the first try. Thanks for the great video!
when u burnt the ends did they look black on end of project using light cord?
Used this for a pull cord for my safety release on my halibut anchor system. Everyone loved it and wants to know how to do the same thing hahaha. Thanks!
Very cool.
Thank you! Straight forward and no B.S. Bravo!
Thank you! This helped me START the paracord game.

Quick, clear, and to the point!
This was the best video I could find that taught me how to do it. Thank you!
Thank you... I've been trying all night to get a good knot for my lever action... again THANK YOU.
This was a great Father’s Day gift
Modified this by putting a small carabiner at the opposite end, now I can take my leatherman squirt on and off my keys at any time with ease. Thank you for showing me this simple yet beautiful knot!
Thank you, you made me better
I was about to give up and then I managed to do it, ty
Thankyou!🤗
You’re welcome 😊
This looks like the knot used in military shoulder braids. Works great. Thanks for the lesson.
My turned out perfect. Thank you!
That's great, I'm glad it helped.
Thanks! Just made two. :)
Neat 👍🏻
Great video and to the point:)-John in Texas
thank you...
Awesome. Mine came out all twisted though lol not sure why but it was the first one I’ve done
Wow that was quick and easy! Thank you for the video, been wanting to make paracord crafts.
Great video, thank you. Now I have a paracord handle for my ferro rod.
Nice, short and practical video. I'll make one for my keys, thank you!
Hat super funktioniert vielen Dank

Betsy Rosenow Agreed. You need almost twice as much for a 5" lanyard.
Nice video. Can you do a demos of how to lengthen a paracord like the one you made. Most of the paracords with carabiners on the market are too short and the keys don’t sit deep in the pocket.
Nice work. Thanks.
Excellent, thank you.
Thanks Jason :) I used it to put a Lanyard on my Leatherman Sidekick :) Cheers, Don (Dons Shed and Xplor Overland)
who’s here bc of xavier 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊
Loved tutorial! mine came out great except burnt black ends at end of red key chain😳
Brilliant
Thank you for this!!
I watched this. I just watched it!
Thank you for sharing. Definitely easy to follow.

Thank you for the video. Which size (550 or 750) and camo did you use?
Be careful when burning the cord... I learnt the hard way.... I burnt the cord and then some of the melted cord got on me and now I have some burns as a souvenir 😒.
💪👍 Thank you for my keys Jason ! 😉😂
💪👍 Merci pour mes clés Jason ! 😂😉
when burning cut off ends at end of key chain project how do you keep it from getting black on other colors of cord like yellow and red?
With a lot of care
How do I keep the paracord from twisting and giving the keychain a straight look?
Everytime you make a knot, just straighten out the cord before the next one. No tricks, just do it right.
Welcome to the night shift
How do you keep it from twisting. Now matter how loose or how I hold the main line it always twists.
Try to not twist each piece of paracord. If the cord twists it will carry through your work.
That makes zipper pulls out of scrap pieses as well too, leave an inch loop. When burning the ends try using the metal on the lighter to flatten.
Thanks
What can you recommend for making a longer project? This video was great :)
Not sure, but you could check out macrame projects. These types of paracord knots come from macrame so there must be stuff to do there.
Thanks :)
Can do a dog leash with same cobra knot. (Here on youtube)
I am trying to figure out how to make it a fastener, for both ends. To make the lanyard for a pair of binoculars. Would also be good to figure out, the 3 coloured braid.

Thanks bruh
Idk wtf im doing wrong but mine always comes out looking like a double helix! Am i doing something wrong?!
flip it everytime mine did that too haha
Nope still twisted
Always keep the same line on top, the other one loops underneath and through each side. He doesn't explain there that it swaps each line
Gostei (Like 4). Parabéns. Valeu
NATAF SURVIVAL yes sir. Pay attention to where he puts the cord. Double helix is the same knot. It took me forever to learn this knot but I got it and make jewelry from time to time for my gf and daughter
How can I make a thin blue line version of this?
Mine turned into a dna type bend and I can’t figure out how to straighten it
Wyattj7
same
You have to alternate it, right, left, right, left
Oh, so it's the same weave as a paracord bracelet, just an extra step to pull the cord tight at the end that's not connected to anything. Well shoot, that isn't so tough. Thanks!
Super hard in 90 seconds

one strand stays on top, the other on the bottom? might help :-)
@@NZdorking it didn't
Where can I get such a thin key ring?
Really wished you would of slowed down a little, its hard to do this and keep rewinding the video
If you click the settings wheel at the bottom of the video you can play the video at half or quarter speed.
Nah I call B.S..😶 You were over five seconds. 🤗😁🤗
Nice

took me three hours just to do one overhand knot.
Start with an overhand knot and it'll be 80 seconds.
I want you to relax a little
mas de 20 veces vi el video... aun así creee otro nudo jajajaj el NUDO CADENA DE ADN
Hi. Is there different size paracords? And what size did you use?
New England Trucker

Little slower for the new guys lol played video 100x
90 secondes no possible j'ai essayé plein de site mais pas de solution à ce casse-tête
Can you make a slower video
that was actually 90.05 seconds, sir.
yea dude, i just braided a DNA molecule, the heck?
samee 🤣🤣🤣
sUBer EasY dO pHoLloW!!!1!!!1
I literally tried a hundred times and even at 0.25 speed it is IMPOSSIBLE.
Asowme keychain
Why do you have to wait an hour and 30 min
I have a question why does mine keep spiraling
It happened to me too... I was wondering
Actually it was 90.5 seconds
Couldent get past step 4
My not straight
Why ????
It’s because I pulled it too tight
I don't think the Timer means anything here, because everyone has their own pace. Nice Video, though.
It just means its a quick video. Thanks for watching.
You went over……
Horrible instructions. Your hands covered everything I needed to see.
Might help if you talk not subtitles.
90 seconds if you edit out all the slow, necessary steps lol
ich glaub so einfach ist das nicht , ich bekomme es nicht hin
why you speed up video :/
andrej dicoski slow it down to .50 speed its easier to follow
Liar. This was not 90 seconds it was 90 seconds and .05 milliseconds! What a rip off
90 seconds lol I don’t think so sir, maybe without time lapse and camera play the links just magically appeared before you even began to make them and then out of nowhere your already done and cinging the ends
I made one before knowing about this video and it took me 20-30 minutes with a few mess ups
Had to go to a different video (not yours) to learn how to do it right. You need to work on more detailed instructions instead of speed of instruction.
Actually I found it quite complete, yes I had to pause and rewind, but it was quite complete
You need better scissors ;-)
48 seconds over your title LOL i'm bored.
Wow ... can’t even do it soo guess I’m really retarded... using string tho so we’ll see with the paracord Lol 😂
🇮🇶⭐👍👍👍
Thanks
