I started with this knot when I used use mono to mono & even now with the braid for me it's the easiest quickest & strongest knot caught big big fish with this knot never failed me 💪
I use a blood knot I modified , and it works absolutely amazing, and it’s super tiny and doesn’t get caught up in the guides. Look up how to tie a blood knot and follow these instructions…… But to tie the knot I wrap the braided line 20-25 times, and the mono/fluorocarbon leader 5-7 times . More wraps with thinner braid and leaders, and less wraps with thicker lines. Make sure the knot is wrapping cleanly, and use some water or saliva to synch the knot down. This knot is strong and never failed me, and I catch everything from king salmon to big pike , bass, and musky. It also flows through the rod guides like butter. The other knot I like to use and can recommend is the Back to Back Uni Knot. These knots take practice but they’re worth learning. I’ve had the knot you showed in this video break and wear out very quickly, it’s a easy and fast knot to learn, but I wouldn’t trust this knot after it failed me many times. Fish like King Salmon, Steelhead, giant Brown Trout, big Pike and Musky, catfish, even smallmouth bass on medium action to light gear will test your knots. Practice makes perfect. Like I said this knot shown in the video is a simple knot to learn, but definitely not the strongest option.

В обратную сторону можно делать не 4,а 2 оборота,результат не поменяется(проверено на карпах 15+кг),но узел будет чуть тоньше и более симпатичнее смотреться
Я вообще перестал делать обороты в обратную сторону. Когда вяжешь 10-16 оборотов и половину в обратную сторону получается в форме оливки с утолщением в непредсказуемом месте на узле. Когда вяжешь без оборотов в обратную сторону узел получается длиннее и тоньше, как бы форме цилиндра. Мне думается он так надежнее и ещё лучше проскакивает кольца при забросе. И вяжется, и контроллируется при затяжке чуть легче чем в первом варианте.А если ещё и суперклеем капельку поставить...😉
Also called the royal polaris knot which depending on whos video you watch shows anywhere from 5-7 wraps both up & down b4 tightening. A very effective knot even with very big fish maxing out your line & drag.
Alberto knot 100%. Great knot for fluoro leader to braid mainline or just joining line together period. The more you go up in line size the more bulky the knot but unless you have micro guides it isn't an issue.
@@Jimfishy you could tie a good knot but the diameter of the knot with 15lb mono might make a noticable ticking sound as it goes through the guides and even hang up a little resulting in a few botched casts. On the other hand it works great for joining a half spool of line to add fresh line on the rest of the spool. Great way to save line when you respool. You dont have to fill the entire spool with the new line.

For fly fishermen the albright is the go to knot for attaching leaders to a fly line. All Fly lines now come with a welded loop and the leaders are also sold with loops to allow for ease of changing out leaders. Dont fall for it. Ive seen countless big fish lost on loop to loop connections. Always use an albright to connect your leader to the fly line. Never fails.
Make a loop in the fluorocarbon. Put the braid through . 4 winds away from the loop. 8 winds back. Braid back through. Its a good knot. The trace should be at least double the thickness of the braid

Все эти обороты всё равно разровняются, неважно сколько в одну сторону и сколько в другую. Общая сумма только играет роль.
