Huge THANK YOU to everyone that watches our videos!!
That mustache tho
Thanks for uploading them , I find them really interesting. Keep up the good work ✌️👍
Is the subject of this video in response to (or in the spirit of) you guys’ documentary on standardization? It seems to be a great example of the values presented therein. Also, obligatory THANKS for these vids!
@@nameatrandom9234 I agree
Oh, you're welcome, all I want to say is keep up with the good work 👍
I like how two guys saved the fish.
Could we please talk about that moustache?
he's a time traveller
I came to the comments section looking for this exact comment and it was #1
He clearly lost a bet
@@idk-hj4mf no it wasn't

Very Dali
I found this comment while watching the beginning and thought all the facial hair looked pretty normal...and then *MOUSTACHE* 🥺
The best architecture channel on RUclips!
Thank you so much!
True!
I’d go as far as saying it’s one of the best channels on RUclips.
Agreed
*An impressive building*
An awesome mustache
General Lee N Knass /knot retired/ Great architecture comes with greater facial hair
The moustache stole the lights from other fine arts in the video.
This is how businesses should operate. Collaboration between teams can make for a great process. Great video as usual.
Agreed. Thanks so much for the great feedback!
When you're really enjoying the view.... and one of your neighbors rotates your floor :O
What a lovely moustache
Another fascinating video B1M. Thanks.
It's good see that they are using such an integrated IT systems. The facilities are out there, but so many companies muddle along with outdated procedures, often increasing levels of confusion. The system looks amazing.
It is also an interesting development - I'd like to know more about Wood Wharf itself, especially the building that appears to rotate.
Wood Wharf looks amazing.
It is! You can learn more about it here - group.canarywharf.com/portfolio/wood-wharf/
im so stupid, i thought the video is about *skyscrapers* , you know buildings in the clouds😅😅
Oooooh... I saw your comment and it still took me 5min to get it...
It was the use of the singular that helped me get it. Once I saw the title I was like "Yep... this is gonna be even more awesome than I thought."
@@josephharrison8354 i think building a city in the clouds, could also mean building skyscrapers😅. i think it was a nice play of words on their part
Ya, I didn't read the title correctly and was wondering why they were talking so much about the 3D software.... I need more coffee.
@@MarkWTK The point is that the title says "In the CLOUD". The singular implies something other than the sky, and the "Cloud" is well known as being the Internet.
Wood Wharf looks absolutely stunning. Al the beat to the people working on it
Ok, I see what some people meant about getting all excited at seeing a new vid pop up for this channel. A subscription well worth it. Love how they repurposed a "semi derelict" area of land and the steps taken to recreate it, not to mention, the blending of technologies to make their job more efficient. It's all very interesting to hear about. Oh, and that view @ 1:48 is to die for. I could sit there all day. Thx for posting.
A huger THANK YOU to B1M for making these videos for us to watch.
It seems the cad design software is what is helping the architectural ventures come to fruition. What a beautiful software that is making all engineering endeavors work perfectly to create fantastic architecture. Amazing.
Wow to think 10+ years ago the Darleks obliterated this part of london!
incredible aerodynamics, foundation, and use of space with that mustache
Great minds build things great things Hello from Kentucky.. simply Amazing
I had to rewatch the video due to that glorious mustache!
the only channel i want to give a like before even watching the video. Great job guys!
Wow! Thank you so much for that! This is why we LOVE our viewers!! 👍👍
Love what you guys do B1M. However, this and your recent standards videos came off more as advertisements for the interviewees and their companies/organizations rather than an unbiased look at interesting construction. Just an opinion from a big fan who doesn't enjoy these types of videos nearly as much as your usual ones. Cheers
Well building that requires a lot of effort!
*Damn that moustache is really amazing*
I love this channel so much. Watching these videos inspire new thinking and make me feel like the world is full of opportunity.
London is beautiful
Not really, it’s just a flat area with a river and a lot of buildings without a real theme or interesting standout. There are plenty of beautiful cities like Vancouver, San Fran, Florence, Seattle, Sydney, Hong Kong, Kyoto, Rio. But London? If London counts as beautiful then most cities are.
@@chrisogrady28 late reply but london is one of the most historically rich cities in the world. What are you even talking about when you say "no theme"
@@electri2024 It's just a mess of clashing styles in an endless urban sprawl, it's extremely ugly
@@chrisogrady28 do you even live here. If that was truly the case then why is one of the most visited cities of all time. Urban sprawl? London has as many trees than people in New York, look it up. None of your points make any sense. Just gonna assume your hate is based off nothing. Good day.
@@electri2024 I live in a city with 5 trees per person
Absolutely beautiful and thoroughly enjoyed. A piece of art on display. Great job B1M team.
The possibilities of this system in the chemical industry would make a huge impact.

@Kinickylj Typical bloody capitalism !!!

@@ortegaperu8510 Typical capitalism run on agenda Profit before people, in socialism is the opposite. So I would say, yes, this kind of capitalism IS the problem.

Other industries are picking up software approaches and tools. This is really like a version control system for buildings - amazing in one sense that it isn't being used by everyone already.
That moustache is the real architecture.
Interesting Video.
Please do more video's on how new software tools are helping the construction business.
Thanks for the great feedback - we will! 👍
Absolutely stunning presentation.👍
Love the channel
Love the moustache
Great video!
Thank you!!
0:58 This dude must really have fun twisting that stache around
2:51 That would be fun just capturing the fish then moving them. 😂😂
Its always amusing to look at a completely different industry and see that they are running into exactly the same problems as your own.
We know! Which industry do you work in?
@@TheB1M Ironically, software development. Getting different disciplines aligned and on the same page is an ongoing challenge and time sink. You would think that we would have loads of tooling available that could accurately represent the real state of a project and all of its moving parts, but theres not much that fits the bill.
This is the best channel about architecture built, no doubt and i really love it. It's inspiration.
Today, i have to say, after watching this video, a very good one, I'm really intoxicated by an anti environment use of concrete, steel and glass, mediocre architecture and land speculation.
This is people that will never permit to architecture to advance, evolve in the direction of a more sustainable city.
Remarkable! Anyhow Dassault with their Catia was doing this almost a decade ago, just saying we should look at aerospace more often for inspiration.
I love the purple tie/paisley shirt combo.👍
Very very nice....Thank you...
That software 3d repo - minecraft for adults, very cool!

We get it, your software allows collaboration well! But what about the district itself? More info about it would be nice.
Thank you.

Thank you
What is the tool they are using and is it available for consumers?
It’s called 3D Repo and yes, it is commercially available. More details here - bit.ly/2HsHA80
It's exciting to see how well 3D design software is really making headway into design...I started using a Chief Architect product in 96 for contractors , ( 3D home design; Broderbund), The cloud, meanwhile is digesting this information provided to it by the top minds in the industries...That's a scary thought... The sucky thing about living on an island...Fitting 10 pounds of shite in a 5 Lb bag...
Question on these bim model projects, how do you keep IP when you add into a cloud system. Who owns your drawing after you add it in?
I really feel like half of this video is an ad for 3Drepo tho.
They just need to clean the water around South Docks Dollar Bay as it’s not good.
Hmm, I just noticed, if there is a paid promotion, there's a sudden surge of dislikes, when there isn't, dislikes are almost nothing...is it just me or is this not really the case? Usually, most B1M videos are overwhelmingly positive, no surprise there but this one just caught my attention (unless those hundred dislikes are trolls, whatever...doesn't matter).
Hey, at least this one is good business. Good on ya B1M! And as always, great content, great presentation!
3D Repo looks cool though.
New district to improve lives looool the locals being pushed out
It would be great to see something on development of affordable or sustainable housing instead of constant uploads of property for the 1%....however much I enjoy them 😂
There’s a high % of affordable housing at Wood Wharf. It’s a whole new community with a GP surgery, school and retail space. We have uploaded several pieces on sustainable housing and sustainable city development. We also have this major documentary coming up - www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/habitation-reinventing-housing-for-the-urban-age-world-premiere-tickets-61793884171

10/10 moustache
why do they always sneak the bmw i3 into a project?
Could you do a different city like Vancouver or Auckland or Rio or something
We do cover a broad range of cities. There is content covering projects in North America, Africa and Oceania coming up over the next few weeks.
The odd subtitle would have helped however a very interesting video.
"Caught all the fish" Yeah I really doubt that
With all the explaining y'all do it would seem that additional videos might only need for you to look at the question and provide necessary information IF the "question" doesn't provide the info for you. Like B1M a lot.
i wounder how much it will cost to live there.....
Fascinating cantilever mustache
Please feature the biggest IKEA in the world
So, British Waterways owned the land originally - and since that organization no longer exists we can say what we like - they were too lazy to develop the site? Or not sufficiently incentiveized?
Where is other CLT building project
Disappointingly the floors of that cylindrical building won't actually rotate in real life.
2:24 Great ambition, but seriously, why are you not jettisoning all that gravel somewhere on international waters, thus creating a tax haven for the super rich? Wouldn't that be more profitable?
I understand the Principality of Sealand would like to copy Monaco and Gibraltar by reclaiming seabed and turning it into land. But even though Sealand is close to London, I don't think they have the cash to buy the gravel?
Join the subreddit r/LondonSkyscrapers for discussions, updates and insights into the construction happening around London
This was an info-mercial, not a documentary about Canary Warf and not a review of this new development.
Would be great if the video about Wood Wharf was actually talking ABOUT wood wharf, not about some piece of computer software. I’m not an engineer, I don’t care, I just like nice places, architecture and spatial planning.
Robot mounted on crane fast building to success
How will this project benefit those living under the poverty line in what is one of the most deprived boroughs in London?
Yes quite right Ruhal...what we need is less wealth and more poverty.
Question: Why hasn’t the construction industry employed robotics similar to the degree the automobile manufacturers have?
I'd imagine that's because the automotive industry has production lines which are the same task repeated over and over again and in a fixed location. Getting robots that are the right size in the right place are probably too much hassle and not cost effective right now. Buildings and construction often use age old techniques but the actual implementations across projects is always different. Unless you're knocking up cut and paste housing.
It’s coming - ruclips.net/video/nKGGHdl3NyQ/видео.html
Mike Essue Yes, I see the difference between assembly lines and construction sites, but I’m also wondering about the similarities. Hypothetically, a contemporary automotive assembly line could utilize AI and robotics to manufacture almost bespoke vehicles. I’m wondering why there’s not a type of on-site horizontal assembly line plant to manufacture a building’s “units” which would then be handed off to a type of vertical primarily robotic assembly line to integrate, stack and complete the product. It’s just a thought, I suspect it’s been considered, but I haven’t any knowledge of any designs or working prototypes. Maybe pragmatism conspires against it, or E. R. Musk already has the patents locked in . . . whatever the case, I doubt the process is that far from fiction?
Artificial pitching..oh well.
I would rather have Fred narrate.
0:55 what is that mustache?
Is this a 10 minute ad?!?!......
is this just an ad?
snip snip
Really disappointed that B1M videos now feel more like commercials than like an informational architecture channel. I’ve started to look at the age of the videos so I can avoid the new ones and go back to when the videos were less influenced.
