I was certain that USS Ford would be a Pacific area deployed aircraft carrier. I was wrong. It seems that Europe and our allies in NATO are the most important foreign policy concern of the US government. Puting the first in class new aircraft carrier in Europe send a message to our friends in EU as well as to our adversaries in Moscow and Tehran
It is also super expensive so don't let it sink.
To be honest I think it's fair to say that Russia wasn't shocked by the presence of the USS Ford aircraft carrier in the Mediterrenean. They have been in a permanent state of shock and disbelief since the Feb 24th 2022. On that day and every single day since then, Russian military and civilian leaders realized that the American and NATO military technology is order of magnitude more advanced, reliable, precise and effective than their own weapons.
They can't seem to accept that Ukraine, armed with 10% of military technology that NATO actually has in its arsenal, is capable to fight back and even defeat the "mighty" Russian military that was, prior to Feb 24th, considered the second most powerful fighting force on the planet... As the meme goes, now they are the second most powerful force in Ukraine..
And the Russians are scared and confused, hoping they never find themselves in a military conflict with NATO proper. Cause if that happens and the Western Air forces join the fight, poor men from Siberia with slanted eyes won't be the only Russians that will be dying, oh no.. Those blue eyed sons of the middle class from Moscow and St Petersburg will fill the body bags too. And maybe a few of the blue eyed blonde daughters of those same Middle class members end up dying as the collateral victims... Then the lie will end and maybe Russia will be able to finally join the developed countries of the world.
