unfortunately, I don't think so. Radical religious groups like Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad don't distinguish between progressive liberal Israelis and right wing nationalists Israelis, they want everyone gone.
Noam should be reminded that before 1967 war the west bank was occupied by Jordan and people living in the west bank were of Jordanian citizenship. The Arab countries did not want that there will be an Israeli State. So in 1967 Jordan, Syria, Egypt and Libanon declared war on Israel and Israel defeated the Arab countries and ultimately occupied west bank. If the Arab countries did not declare war with Israel the West bank would be in Jordanian hands today.
But the past will never justify that Palestinians are oppressed, arrested, deprived from their rights and killed today. The Palestinians today should not suffer from decisions taken by Syria, Lebanon, Egypt and Jordan governments 50 years ago. It is not erasing history, but it is looking at the future and how to build a better place. From now on, for sure we can do better for Palestinians rights and justice.

There are no Palestinians living in Israel settlements, the only Palestinian things in settlements are the land and the water. Neve Shalom couldn't be more different from the illegal settlement. They are not mixed communities.
