Ahh. I remember you saying you were running these courses a few years ago. I did register I think but never got on one. Love the domestic heating design guide. I know a new one has come out for low temp heating. Do you know if it is worth the £50?
I think a lot of people have had them poorly installed and those people live in regret. However this is no different to gas boilers that are poorly installed it seems that using a heat geek is a fairly good guarantee of ensuring you get a good installation
Good to see one of those installed. You registered with heat geek? Any good? Keep seeing When you said training, are you referring to Viessmann or heat geek?
The heat geek course is currently the best course available for learning the basics of heating system design. When I started teaching heating system design it was based on the domestic heating design guide and information I learnt from installing viessmann boilers. I was teaching this course to members of eco technicians and later Adam incorporated into The Awakening section of the heat geek course
I do love the viessmann boilers. Although I find it harder to install them due to clearances above the boiler etc. Also the external flue run needs an external flue kit which is expensive and hard to get hold of.
I think you're looking at the wiring of the machine itself so that would be from the factory. Other than that there's only really two power supplies into the unit. Doesn't sound much like you want to engage in any reasonable conversation though from the way you've made your comment come across. So if it is just your intention to troll I suggest you don't waste your time here. However I'm very happy to receive any advice and guidance that good qualified engineers have to offer. So if I'm getting you wrong please feel free to make some polite suggestions
@@andrewmillwardwatford9410 I was referring to the flex on the wall by the unit, didn't seem well installed. Did not mean to offend you but do not like to see poor finishing
@@alecjackson4073this was a team installation involving people love different levels. When you have this kind of collaboration that will always be certain things the may not be just as you would do them yourself. There's a learning curve for everyone to gain experience. I was expecting these flexes to be run in some trunking but when I came back it had been clipped to the wall and although not as neat as I would like it was secured. There was a few little details on the job like this to be fair
Thanks Andrew, really interesting, looks like a lovely bit of kit. John
Having lifted one of these pumps last week, I'm interested to know how you got it up there ! Nearly killed us. Great job guys. 👏.
Are you telling me you can't lift this on your own? Our crane driver did
very interesting, thanks andrew
What about draining cylinder
Some interesting question I didn't really look at it I just assumed there was a drain point provided. From your comment I assume that I'm not right
@@andrewmillwardwatford9410 Yes apparently you have to remove some things and syphon it out or so I heard. Not convenient
@@lukeb6565 why would you need to drain the cylinder

I haven't seen it
Do heat pumps even work? Every single 1 I’ve seen fitted, the householder has wished they had their gas boiler back.

My heat pump has worked amazingly well! I've been documenting my real world experience here: ruclips.net/video/GM2MCaYyaHE/видео.html
Great video, im installing 151a in a few weeks. Out of interest what is the recovery time like on the internal hot water tank?.
I didn't time it. I guess it would depend on the external temperature is that will affect the heat pump performance and in turn the heat up time
Nice! I’ve just ordered one for my house. Any tips and tricks would be appreciated. 👍🏼
It's probably the easiest installation I've ever done. Everything is already in the internal unit so all you do is connect it up
Nice video Andrew! That viessman looks like a nice bit of kit

who did the cowboy wiring
