@@HarrisonBowman agree with you totally, her reaction to Tom's campaign leading up to the awards exposed her real off camera persona, and her reaction during his speech spoke volumes of her true character...clearly the best person won.

And here I was thinking Sunrise was worse than Channel 9. At least they don't silence comments on RUclips. I loved the expression on Waleed Aly's face when Glesson was talking about manipulating the media. Never more ironic. And then Aly's faux offense afterwards on The Project. The Gold Logie has been farcical for years. At least Gleeson was honest about it.

The logies were pretty stale until Tom's acceptance speech happened. Wish we had more like him in the television industry. This was a well-deserved victory.
I thought I never liked Tom Gleeson but I watched Hard Quiz before the Logies and it was a great show,Didn't watch The Logies but caught Tom's opening and acceptance speech and he's a funny guy,well deversed win.
Peter Heller, Rove, Hamish & Andy, Dave Hughes are all smart arse's and simpley NOT funny but the industry promotes its self above the reality and its a boy's club; you don't have to be funny or good, just have friends .... and Carl Stefanovic is just a knob. Tom's cynicism and criticism of the inductry is well justified and well put.
I like Hamish and Andy Lee and Dave.. Tom's OK I guess..

The first time I've sat & watched the Logies all the way through for a long time & only because of Tom Gleeson , , he was soo funny , all the other stuck-ups are just soo jealous , he's a comedian for Christ sake , liven up , he made it very interesting , loved it , cheers .
In 61 years of living, I have never watched the Logies once and no matter how many Tom Gleeson's they put on the show, I never will. Have only ever watched the Oscars once. Way back in 76 when One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest won a whole bunch of awards. Back when Jack Nicholson was still pretty unknown. These award ceremonies are atrocious.

Glad Tom won the Logies regardless and great ABC 'cleaned up' as it was said.....they deserve the extra respect that these logies will give them regardless of Gov't funding etc! Hopefully they'll get some extra funding out of this that they so desperately need......their repeats drive me nut to be honest!

The Logies are a reminder of how culturally backwards and isolated Australia was before the 1980's. Every effort to appear relevant and _au courant_ has misfired.
Also, it's good to see that Seven and Nine still take every opportunity to express their hatred for each other. It's their only worthwhile attribute. Both deserve the scorn they so unabashedly heap on each other, their credulous, drooling viewing audience still under the impression that it matters.

Logies .. one of the more embarrassing parts of a very low grade television industry in Australia. Denyer winning one shows how far television has sunk over the years, and how low the standards are nowadays.
Rating do not relate in anyway, shape or form to actual popularity. I've never been asked what i watch on tv because i'm not in a shopping centre at 10am on a Tuesday.

Toms opening speech was probably the only few minutes of the entire existence of the Logies that has ever been entertaining. Australian tv always has been a sad attempt at recreating the magic of American television and the Logies is just a ridiculous attempt at recreating possibly the lowest part of the American television industry. It’s good to see Tom not only host it but also win an award, if only he could have his own internet based show free from the mediocrity of Australian television so he could properly let loose on the wankers involved in it.
