    I've ordered 50lbs altogether so far and thanks to ur videos I've picked up on it quite fast. I've ordered some different types from T-rock and quartzite website, if u ever git anything different like jasper or some pretty colored stones let me know and I'll buy it

    Your techniques are excellent and that flint is exceptional . I'm wondering if you ever heat treat before knapping and pressure flaking . Thanks for your video and ATB .

      thanks very much. This rock doesnt really need heat treated, but it can benefit from a light cook. I do put a light cook on this to butter it up just a little more.

    Hey brother what temp do you bring Georgetown to to heat treat? I have some gtown spalled out (thin flakes) and a nice kiln and wanted to experiment with heat treating it. So far I’ve only worked it raw and it’s done well but could be better.

      @@huntprimitive9918 do you know how to get in contact with a quarry? I just got my first set of tools in Flint last week but I'm looking for a good place to buy flint, maybe somewhere if I buy a certain amount they might give a price cut. I don't know if they do that I wouldn't want to insult anyone either. Maybe you can help a little.

      @@huntprimitive9918 the Flint that you offer is really great looking stuff but unfortunately at 6.6 dollars a pound it's a little too out of my price range. I'm not working right now since I have a broken ankle, I took Flint knapping up to keep me busy and help mentally. I know it's not the cheapest hobby but if you have any suggestions on where to find some decent quality Flint for a reasonable price I'd really appreciate it!

    Hey Ryan, didn’t you say that before, your license didn’t allow you to sell raw materials? What did you do?

    • @huntprimitive9918
      @huntprimitive9918  6 лет назад +2

      not a licensing issue at all. More of a supply issue as many raw materials are hard to get in quantities to both sell and use. So many ppl have asked about buying materials that I have buckled down trying to secure a couple things just for materials sales. bamboo shafts and now Georgetown flint.
