I remeber my mom and grandmother making these and we had a czech bakery on our street and they baked and sold these along with other czech bakery in our little town of Bohemia on Long Island in New York. Brings back memories. Rolls and bakery now a days do not taste as good. Thanks for your very well made video.

Hello from a 3rd generation Texas Czech! I found your videos after trying for the first time my Great Grandmothers Kolache recipe on Christmas day. My home smelled just like my mother and grand mothers. So now I am comfortable making these recipes this one will be next. Thank you so much for sharing.

Since my grandparents and great grandparents came to the United States in the 1800's, housky were sweet breads. For breakfast or dessert. You mentioned that.

I really like your videos. I'm learning so much about my ancestral country, culture and cuisine.
As a polite suggestion, it would be very helpful if you could use a microphone when recording your videos. A simple lapel microphone would work very well to improve the sound and it would not be very expensive. You can get one that's wireless so you don't have to worry about having an awkward wire between you and the camera.

Thank you Patrick. You are right, I was thinking about getting mic for some time now but other things just got in a way. So today I ordered one. :) It was a pain to edit the audio and way too much of my time was focused on that, plus the sound wasn't good anyway. I can't wait to get it and try it. :)
