I might have to give the Evil Dead 2 another go as I can't remember the film but I do remember that one of them was very scary as a kid. And if my memory servers me correctly, Michael Jacksons Thriller which scared the pants off of me was basically a copy of the Evil Dead I think.
Never seen The Raid or the sequel which is sad because I loved those type of flicks as a kid being made into Bruce Lee and Van Dam.

@@jimtatro6550 Okay, the original Evil Dead, I'll have a look at the trailer to jog my memory of that film.
Now that I'm older I'm not much into martial arts movies but I do like a few Jason Statham movies. Big Trouble in Little China is my all time favourite, it has great comedy scenes and a character that every man would want to be Mr. Jack Burton. The Chinese demonic martial artists were so scary at the time, I got that Dart Vader vibe from them with their special powers. I will have to watch those Raid movies now, you've created an itch that i can't reach so they're a must to view over the week. Thanks. I love thrillers, crime and really good horror movies. I gave up on trying to find good modern horror movies as I just can't relate to them for some reason. Maybe is because a lot of them are arty farty which I detest

Dawn of the Dead the best Horror movie every made in your opinion. Okay, I'll have to make time to watch that film again but for me, I'm not sure if I can say that these are the greatest horror films ever made but I'll give you a mention of the one's that come to memory for me.
The Exorcist I and III are the best possession flicks I've ever seen. I also think Jeepers Creepers I and II are masterpieces being the best monster flicks this century. Annabelle Creation scared the pants off of me and I thought Drag me to Hell was brilliantly done. Also there were lots of brilliant b - movies from the 70s that I can list for you sometime. I love the films where it's God against Satan, good against evil. Like the Omen franchise is one of the best franchises for me even if the sequels weren't as good as the first, they were still very well done and completely different to the first.
The Ninth Gate is a classic for me, it was very well done. Rosemary's
Baby shocked everyone when it came out as did the Exorcist and The Omen and I remember family members saying not to watch it or you'll be cursed. That didn't go well with me as I was a bed wetter up to the age of 11, so those films really drained the lizard so to speak. lol.
The best Werewolf movie for me was An American Werewolf in London which meant plenty of Nightmares for me and the scariest book I've ever read about werewolves is called The Wolfen.
I also remember that the Amityville and the Poltergeist had a massive affect on me too but I was very young when I watched these film and it was usually because my grandmother fell asleep...because she would have never let me watching those kind of films being so young and all. (Rec) 2007 is a very well made hand cam type Horror if you haven't seen it.
The Taking is another brilliant hand held docu style film like Rec as I don't normally like these types of hand held films but those two are the best for me.
Race with the Devil and The Wicker Man are another two classics from the 70s along with films like The Devil Rides Out and The Brotherhood of Satan and the Devils Claw.
Deliver us from Evil with Eric Bana along with The Grudge and The Ring are honourable mentions. You can't go wrong with any of those films.
Devil 2010 is one I had to add as form 2010, it's a ride and takes place in an elevator, it's awesome.

Dart Vader has to be the scariest evil villain as far as sci fi movies go but I also lived The Thing, The first two Predator movies and The series called "V" from the 80s. Could never really get in to the Alien franchise but id did like the Predator v Alien franchise movies. I love most of the Rambo films accept the last one where he's very old in it and it really tells but it's still a decent enough film, it's not awful. Loved all of the Dirty Harry sequels, and of course some are weaker than the others but I'd love to see a good remake of them all with a really good fitting actor to play the Dirty Harry character. And I think Scott Eastwood could do it, as he does look like a young Clint and I would be delighted if they went real 70s retro with the look of the film. Friday the 13th and Freddy Crugar terrified me when I was in my early teens in the 80s but tried to watch those films as a mature adult and they didn't stand the test of time. But, they were brilliant if you'd ask my younger self if that makes sense. I do remember loving Wesley Snipes in Blade Runner as a teenager, but Lethal Weapon with Mel Gibson and Danyy Glover will always be some of the best stand out action, crime thrillers for me in the history of those types of films.
Die Hard is a classic and very well done, can't remember if I've seen the 3rd one so might give it a go during the week. Loved the Super man with Gene Hackman as a kid, it's a classic for sure.

It's common knowledge that the man that goes to see a film wants to come out of that movie wishing he was that lead character. I don't get that today and Clint had it in spades as did Sly, Mel and McQueen. Matt Dillon and Matt Damon are two of the most modern actors that I like but they've nothing on the above actors that I mentioned.
