It's crazy to have a 1.4 gen 1 cruze or even a 1.5 malibu with a weak or broken wastegate. It's a night and day difference with a gate set at the correct pressure. Thanks for the video you 2 .
Dave, the first video I saw on your channel was about the equinox steering wheel. At the time, I had no idea that you did upgrades on the Cruze and other GM cars. I have an equinox and a Cruze. Great video.

So, reading other comments, if your waste gate stays within the "normal" range as far as the ECU is concerned, this wouldn't do anything to a factory warranty? I got a warranty until 2029? Or 100k miles. I can't remember the end date for the warranty. And I know I won't put 100k on it in 10 years now that I walk to work.
I've got a 2021 Equinox and the turbo that was just put on was defective and the Dealer says there's something metal rattling around inside the Waste Gate. What does your part cost and how long does it take to replace it.
Curious to know. i have a 2019 chevy equinox ls awd with no upgrades. could i just throw this on to replace my stock wastegate and be fine? also the same with your blow off valve?

Lol my friend just went amd wasted money changing his turbo on his Malibu and i was telling him it was just the waste gate. He was getting underboost codes and the car stalling.
@@chuchudoodle2525 yes I can adjust it for anywhere from 10-30 psi . You tell me what you truck is making and I can adjust it where you want it to be. Do you have a way to read boost?
@@mr68special no it only moves when you build boost. If you cannot move it by hand it’s probably failed or something is wrong you should email me through the website so we can diagnose

Yea anything used is cheaper that’s how things work. The wastegate in the video is a performance wastegate with a lifetime warranty. If you want things that look nice that perform it costs money to produce those things. Not many people will go to a junkyard and put a part on their car they would rather get something new that will work all the time.
@davesworld2132 Fair enough. How much would you charge for a normal waste gate, regardless of warranty? I have a 1.5L Equinox that needs a replacement, just don't have a lot for a fancy one.
@@SLCmedia07 Well min are all fancy regardless of the colors. On the inside they are all the same heavy duty design. I may have some OEM style new ones in my shop. But if you wanted I could give you a discount on one of my good ones to help you out.

How does this work along with the solenoid/ECU? If you were upping boost via the wastegate would the solenoids have an issue
No the ECM adjusts up to a certain point with no issues. I set the wastegate up to work perfectly within that range.
Can you make a more detailed replacement video for this? Im very confused and since no one else does this you're the only vid i can find❤

Why not set it to full boost an stay out of the throttle? Will they throw a. Light?
Yes you will get an overvoost code if it’s set too high. When somebody buys one I said it for the specific boost the ECM needs to see.

How could I test my waste gate at home? Just got a 19 equinox used
Need a tool that can apply 1-15 PSI of pressure. If it starts to at less then 8 PSI you have a weak wastegate.

@@seanhooten2890 it’s pointless on these engines. My diverter and Wastegates replace weak oem parts and increase the boost upwards of 50 psi.
