    Your English is excellent - however when you pronounce "2nd" you incorrectly use a "TH" as in "think" and not "S" as in September

    That gold Polerouter is stunning, I love Art Deco and the watch fully encapsulates design from that era.

    I'm sure it was an innocent mistake (give the pictured watch was correct) but Genta designed the White & Gold Shadow for Universal Geneve...not IWC.

    Cool vidéo man. What do you really think of the patek Ellipse? Was it designed by Genta or only inspired ? What does it mean inspired by Genta? Did he work on it? Has he participated in the design?

    • @GoldammerVintageWatches
      @GoldammerVintageWatches  8 месяцев назад +1

      Only inspired, it’s not clear why and can’t be proven.

      @@GoldammerVintageWatches thanks for the answer! That s what I understood during my search about genta watches. Nobody can prove that he has something to do with the Ellipse! He has real connection with the omega Constellation but not with the patek I think…

    Another great one, Felix! Your breakdown of watch case and dial design language is super interesting and a wonderful way of looking at Genta's classic designs!

    Hey! Great video! Got one question for you. I have been trying to find sources that confirm that the IWC Golf Club was a Gerald Genta design; however, I have been unsuccessful for the last 5 years. Can you tell me how you know Gerald Genta designed it?

    • @GoldammerVintageWatches
      @GoldammerVintageWatches  10 месяцев назад +2

      Hey, glad you liked the video. As mentioned in the video, Genta is credited with designing the Golf Club, but there is no evidence that he actually designed the watch. The only ones who could shed light on this are IWC themselves, but they have never commented on it. Kind regards, Felix

    Hi, what’s the name of the universal on the left in the first section of the video, I mean the one with the little white dial on the center and gold all around

    This is a great channel. Vintage watches are far too under-appreciated in today's world, especially when so many look only at "hype" and the ability to "flex", as their sole sources of insipiration and "good taste" to watch buying and collecting. I have even heard some people on youtube espouse the preposterous notion of spending 4-5K USD on a "super clone" (invaribly, a nautilus, royal oak, daytona or submariner) over buying a high quality vintage from Patek, VC or AP for around the same price, and from other first-tier brands like Omega, for often less than this price. This video clearly demonstrated that good designs are timeless, effortless and can have across appeal across generations.
