I first became a fan of you guys ever since I was 15 years old after when I first bought the US version of your “Step One” album on CD that contained “Tragedy” and while I was in my last year of middle school, just two months before my eighth grade promotion of going into high school!
i Love that Lisa got to open this song. what a brilliant upbeat dance pop song. so catchy even from the first listen. and it really makes you feel very euphoric and happy.
They split up because there was no fairness on vocals and fell out. The reunion discusses this so agreed and got back together...because H was bedding the producer..
My favorite part is when they say "In the Dark". It's so forceful. Boom boom boom. Also, I love how they feature each voice, overlap a little, and then come together. Great timing with the lyrics and mood. The line, "Everybody's sleeping while we're creeping outside" - LOVE IT. I can NOT wait for a video because, well, they are just a sexy damn group and I just know the clubbing look they are going to be sporting is going to be smokin!!
This song deserves its own music video!! I adore it!! So overjoyed steps is back! I did miss them during their absence. Hope to attend one of their concerts next year live. Wish bewitched, s club 7, hear say, 911 and five would all return as well like they did steps did. (I know 5 is a trio now)

I've read somewhere that this track "In the Dark (Beat of my Heart)" was probably/originally meant for Mollie King's debut album. I remember stumbling on that version first and then finding this one. I think I prefer Mollie's version to this one. Although I do like listening to Steps.
