  • Our second stop on our travels in South America is to Iguazu Falls in Argentina - the biggest waterfall system in the world! We had such a blast exploring Iguazu Falls from the Argentina side while sharing tips, advice, and information so you can easily plan your own visit to Iguazu Falls. Our first stop during the day is to the infamous Garganta del Diablo (Devil's Throat) where we get the best aerial view of the falls while also getting awfully wet! The views of the falls from the lower and upper circuit were equally as incredible, with so many incredible spots to see the falls from.
    If you are interested in know what the cost of visiting Iguazu Falls is, if visiting Iguazu Falls is worth it, what to do at Iguazu Falls and Iguazu National Park, and want to know our thoughts on Argentina vs. Brazil Iguazu Falls, then please enjoy this video! We packed it full of lots of useful information for anyone interested in visiting this incredible (almost) natural wonder of the world.

    I loved Iguazu Falls. AMAZING! It was a 22,000 step day as we walked so much. We spent 2 days exploring. We did the boat ride on the river, which was great, especially the dip in the falls. We also decided to do the yellow fever vaccination because we figured a mosquito doesn’t know the difference between Argentina and Brazil. I think Brazil requires yellow fever vaccination for entry.

    Thanks for the video! It helped me plan my trip. I visited both sides last week (Feb 29-Mar 2 2024). Entrance fee at the Argentinian side was 20,000 pesos (~21 USD) - it can be paid by Visa/Mastercard/American Express or cash. "Garganta del Diablo" (Devil's Throat) is closed since 3 months ago - there was an overflow and they need time to repair the walkways. Brazilian side costs 100 Reals (also ~21 USD) and it can be paid in cash on a booth or using machines if you prefer cards. And speedboat trip at the Argentinian side cost me ~62 USD.

      Hi there! Sorry for getting back to you so late, we have been trekking in the mountains without signal for the past 10 days but have made it back now! We did not have to purchase the park pass online before we went. We read a blog post that said we had to (maybe the same one you came across) but can confirm that as of the end of Feb 2021 when we visited, this was not the case! Have an amazing time visiting the falls - they are incredible!

    Great video. I have a question for you. Is the devil throat the same circuit as upper trail or do you have to take the train back from the devil throat and hike? Our cruise ship is overnight in Buenos Aires and we're doing a day trip to Iguazu Falls. We heard we can hire a tour guide at the park so we're planning to make our time move efficiently use since our time is limited

    hello guys, how are you, there is an anecdote with former president Franklin Delano Roosevelt, when he came to Argentina, they took him to see the falls and when he saw them, he was very surprised and exclaimed poor Niagara Falls, it's so small it's like If I were a grain of sand in relation to these magnificent falls, I send you a big greeting

    • @nicoleandmico
      @nicoleandmico  Год назад +1

      Hi Gail, thanks for watching! Sorry it has taken us so long to respond to your comment, we were backpacking in Patagonia for the past 10 days without signal but have made it back 😀 We have updated the video's description to include a link to a previous video we made where we go into quite a bit of detail about the blue rate as well as how to take advantage of it as a visitor to Argentina. I will try to link it here (hopefully YT doesn't delete it!): ruclips.net/video/49_UIUa9deM/видео.html
      As a very brief summary, the blue rate is the unofficial exchange rate used in Argentina as a result of the economic crisis the country is experiencing. When used correctly, you can get double the amount of pesos than the official exchange rate when you exchange dollars, euros, pounds, etc. It helps make Argentina a very affordable country to visit!

    • @nicoleandmico

      Yes highly recommended to visit Iguazu😁 The falls were actually better than we expected considering how much hype there is for this attraction. We heard people were able to move between borders to check it out from both sides. We never did but we heard the Brazil side has the best panoramic views of the falls and the Argentina side gets you up close to the falls. Have fun trip planning, I'm sure you'll have a blast 😊

      The best way to get there in our opinion is via the busses. There are many that run from the central bus terminal in the town and all we did was show up and buy a ticket for the next available bus going to the falls. It was very easy!
