Martin absolutely nails these Just William stories. I've been a fan for several decades. Thanks for posting 👌

Nobody has read Williams Books like he did. Many years ago I bought some Cassettes with his readings and I thought, and still think, they were wonderful.. There are others great actors reading Williams books but without any doubt, Mr. Martin Jarvis is the best 📖📖📖

Could this be any better? If only Richmal Compton could have seen/heard this. It's utter perfection. Thank you, Mr Jarvis!

I agree with the comments - the stories are brilliant and the telling of them is brilliant. Well done Martin Jarvis!

"You wish YOU were a little girl, don't you." The underlying menace in that line, the constant threat of tears, or something far worse, in everything Violet Elizabeth says, is comic genius. As narrator, I can think of no higher praise for Martin Jarvis than this: in my childhood, Michael Horden WAS, and always will be, Paddington Bear. As an adult, discovering William Brown for the first time, Martin Jarvis WAS, and will ever be, William, and every other character in Richmal Crompton's wonder-filled world. Truly brilliant. (Much like Diana Dors, a search for whom brought me here.)

When I am on my deathbed, I’ll ask them to play Just William. Nothing is more soothing for the soul
