That’s why I always give you a shout out on my candle channel that I have under a different name, because you are the absolutely best reviewer and you are completely honest. I am so sick of the other people saying that every freaking candle smells good so that they can get free crap. And it’s really obvious when they do it because you can tell there’s certain candles that are absolutely horrible and they’re skirting around not saying that it’s a bad candle. I bought my first HomeWorx candle this year in Iced Sugar Cookie, which on cold smelled AMAZING! I lit it one day, and accidentally forgot about it and left it burning for 24 HOURS-I never smelled it. Nothing. My own fault for getting distracted and forgetting about it…but I literally smelled NOTHING. I was excited to try my first candle from HomeWorx because of how wonderful it (and most of them) smelled on cold, but sadly won’t be buying any more candles from them.

No please keep ranting! You are speaking the truth!! Like Harry considers him self the king of home fragrance and is putting put trash!! Along with addressing the long shipment times he needs to respond and answer as to why his candles are having wonky wicks and no throw!! I love the brand but im getting tired of more misses than hits!!

I hope they improved, I’m waiting on two big orders I placed during the sale. One order the 30% off. Then another of the clearance candles using someone’s code.
I ordered November 21st and it’s been almost a month and I just got a shipping notification but all the candles were canceled but one. How does it take you a month to cancel my order. I really appreciate all of your reviews and Homeworx is definitely off my list for next year.

I totally agree with u! I also got the Spooky Spider Cider n mine looks exactly like urs! It would not burn right n tunneled like crazy! I babysat it for 2 days trying to get some scent from it n finally I just gave up! They do have a few candles that I luv, but the past few months they have really went down hill fast! I had 2 orders in Nov. that took weeks to get n it was beyond aggravating cause they didn't hesitate to take my money, but me getting my candles was a big problem! I want to try this brand but damn. They screwed me over during December for a shipment so they owe me a 4 wick now but I need to make a purchase so I'm trying so hard to find 2 candles that have a good reputation! Thanks Kent. So glad I didn't have the majority of these. I experienced the same problems with Spooky Cider😔 My worst of the year though was Island Guava. Poor performance with tunneling, wicks duding out, and scentless!
Very informational, Kent! Of this list, I only bought one~the Spooky Spider Cider. I haven't burned it yet, but glad I only bought one from TJMaxx. I did however buy like 30 others over the span of 3 months. The PB Waffle Cone was AMAZING (this was the only duo purchased from QVC), and then I have slew of others I have collected from TJMaxx/Marshalls/Home Goods. It all started with Pineapple Mousse, Tropical Paradise, and Tiare Sunrise! I feel like his florals are hecka strong!!! Right now I'm burning Apple Cider Frosting. So far its ok, but I'll update in another hour to let you know how it's smelling. I loved Frozen Balsam, that one is almost done. I started Spiced Gingerbread, and it's way TOO strong for me. I should compile my list for you if you're interested in my finds! I have too many already. Trying to burn them because they take up a lot of space! I did just get Pink Lemon Shortbread which reminds me of Bright Lemon Snowdrop from BBW...I'm excited to burn it...but after this video, I'm wondering how many of mine are going to be duds!
Yea, so for HomeWorx candles, the standard hot plate warmers aren't wide enough to accommodate the larger base of the 18 oz candles, so they're kinda tricky to melt down. As for candle lamps, the ones I've tried don't get hot enough to give me a good throw, but apparently there are newer adjustable models on the market. But aside from that, if I buy a candle, I buy it so I can burn it and have a reasonable expectation that the product will perform as a scented candle should. It's the equivalent of buying a microwave, and for some reason the heating element is faulty, so instead, I keep the microwave and use it as a bread box.
@@TheCandleChannel Hi Kent, agreed on some of the lamps. I found a hot one at Hobby Lobby for $20 - I lift the candle up closer to the lamp by putting a tuna can underneath (don't judge me 🤣), and it melts half of a Hx candle, great throw. This has saved me from tossing I don't know how many candles! 💃💃💃
I LOVE the Blueberry Cheesecake candle. I've burned thru 4 already and have backups. I enjoy it so much that I have a contact in England who bought it from QVC United Kingdom & shipped it to me in Texas. (when it was unavailable in the USA this summer) I'm not saying it's the greatest candle ever invented, lol, but I do enjoy it very much. Seems to be controversial though. Maybe you could find just one on 3rd party market just to try. ;-))

Oh, I agree completely with every one of these reviews, except Blueberry Cheesecake which I absolutely *love!* I think I've burned thru 4 and have 6 backups! I wonder if you got a bad one? I agree with your smell-o-factor most of the time, so this will be the exception. My biggest problem with Homeworx is the *very weak strength & throw.* I think I have returned 10 separate Homeworx candle purchases to QVC this year. I REFUSE to keep them anymore if they are unscented. I mark "defective" on my returns (which they are) for the best refund amount. *Thanks for all the wonderful reviews & HAPPY HOLIDAYS! ;-))*
It took I think three weeks to get an order recently. I got some email apologizing saying “customer service would be in touch with some customers for a free candle in the future”. No email yet for a candle. I just purchased from them for the first time in the last few months and two candles burned themselves out constantly. I poured them out constantly to make wax melts super annoying. I do love a couple I’ve picked up out of 4 candles two were really bad burners. The other two I picked up just arrived and I’ve got covid and can’t smell stuff so no point in burning now.
yes for me crumb cake has no throw in my room so I will be getting rid of the 3 I bought will sell them! This is why im not mad they have candles in Marshalls and tj maxx. at least I can return them!
No lies here. Homeworx is absolutely awful. People worship at the alter of Harry Slatkin and I'll never understand it. He puts out horrible quality candles and when issues are raised he ignores them all while flaunting his expensive trips to Europe to "go discover more scents for us." I'd rather he forgo the unnecessary trips and work on the puny, leaning wicks, tunneling, sooting and complete lack of throw Homeworx is known for.

Yes, shop carefully! Says it directly on their FAQ section. Assuming the only refunds issued are for damaged-in-transit or missing items. But even then, people are reporting being charged for candles that HomeWorx claimed to have shipped out, but never actually received, and having to dispute with credit card companies.
Homeworx Candles is doing a really bad job on their products right now. What’s wrong are they short on fragrance, that can’t be the case stop being so cheap and put fragrance in your candles. These are huge candles and it needs a lot of fragrance to project😮😮😊😊

It’s such a crapshoot now…unscented, soot monster, disappearing wicks, tunneling, etc. Harry needs to get the company straight, I asked for a refund on my 11/24 order today that I still haven’t received…and it was the 2nd time I contacted CS. I used to love the unique higher quality scents they had. Now, these candles definitely belong in a discount store. Thanks for sharing your duds!! Will avoid lol! Happy Holidays to you🎄

I bought the sugared beignets and half way through I lost a wick. I’m careful too I don’t burn for that long just during a workout.
