why i like the sticky -spammer- launcher: putting stickies down around an ubered pair and laugh as they *realize that their fate is sealed by my drunken scottish power when their uber fades off*
I really like the sticky -spammer- launcher because you can make a minefield and force players in a certain direction allowing you to throw a pill where you know they want to go and then detonate afterward
@@cristianardonmonge836 airblasting as pyro is also a good thing to do, usually it costs you your life to do so as you're yeeting them all the way back to their backline, but hey, better to waste their uber than let them tear your team apart

The stickybomb launcher is hands down my favorite weapon in the game. Some of my favorite things to do are: Arcing stickies at different heights so three or more bombs land on a player at the exact same time. Throwing a sticky at someone’s feet who’s pushing your face, then immediately switching to your grenade launcher/iron bomber, firing it, and detonating the sticky at the exact same time you land a direct pipe. Learning how to air detonate on a bombing soldier - juggling a soldier trapped against the sky box is so beautiful. Tons of other things like zoning an entire team, trapping a player between two stickies and smacking them in the face with a pipe because they can’t step left or right, etc. That and all of the movement you can create by pogoing and sticky jumping. Learning roll outs feels like playing a game within a game.
i don't know of a weapon quite like the sticky launcher, it's quite fun to use to be honest, not to mention just baiting people into traps feels great, it really feels like you outsmarted your enemy
I'm not sure you've heard of this high IQ play, but there's this weird room which the enemy team appears from, and for some reason whenever you place stickies on the door to that room you end up with a lot of kills. Great guide, I'm learning how to predict projectiles and this is very useful, as much as I think the M1+M2 is still ridiculous easy and powerful especially in Casual.
I'm finding there's some ranges where you should just hold m2 to detonate them as fast as possible, but you should be careful not to get carried away, as those 8 stickies can run out fast

you should've talked more about denying uber pushes with sticky traps, a hilarious way of saving your engineer's life and his nest, i had a great example of this where the enemy pyro just got ubered but i know the basic path he'll take to get to my team's sentry nest so as soon as i see the pyro round the corner and suddenly turn blue, kaboom he goes to space leaving his medic dumbfounded
Fun Fact: The reason it's easier to get the projectiles onto your crosshair from anywhere other than a bit past melee range (especially with rockets and things of that nature) is because after 200 hammer units, a hidden aim assist will start to happen until 2000 hammer units and it applies to map geometry aswell (this is how people can shoot around corners when standing close enough to them), but this does not apply to the stickybomb launcher when dealing with players as it cannot direct hit someone, making the aim assist only happen against map geometry.

Trying not to be salty about the fact that this is a video teaching how to sticky spam, but how is the stickybomb launcher the "most versatile weapon in tf2"? The flamethrower can push back the most powerful tool in tf2, the uber, put out teammates that are on fire, and shove enemies that are going for a melee. A well placed airblast can kill entire teams with a stray rocket. I'd like to see a stickybomb launcher be more "versatile" than launching yourself and spamming at a choke
Grease It's versatile because it's very good at defending, dealing damage, area denial and offers very good mobility, the flamethrower depends on the enemy that's shooting you to be effective and only works in close combat.

@@PhoebeAlwaysWins I sadly didn't realise how good the pipe+sticky combo is, and instead used the shield only, leading to me getting trashed by those scouts. Will do that next time tho thx
I love the sticky bomb launcher but i just wish the GL was better because hybrid knighting with the eyelander and a GL is so incredibly fun especially when you get max heads
I wish more aim guide videos taught practice routines instead of knowledge. For example - aiming at enemy head height while walking around is good knowledge, but like having a good player's suggested practice methods (what to do and for how long) is more impactful in the long term.
As a medic main who off-mains demo I think sticky spam should be nerfed as such. First 3 stickies should work as they do now, every sticky after should have a 50% lower firing rate. After 5 seconds of firing the 3rd sticky it would have a 5 second cooldown. That way demomen whom have spent time learning jumping can do so still and those who spam can do so - just not as much. To me it's the equivalent of soldiers aiming at feet and calling it 'skill'.

I fear the scout mains who are impossible to hit with direct hits, and who utilise their double jump in a godly way. They are simply terrifying at close range.
@@dexuan1087 If youre proactive with sticky placement you can easily avoid dying to such a situation. This I've learned the embarrassing way.
@@PhoebeAlwaysWins I sadly didn't realise how good the pipe+sticky combo is, and instead used the shield only, leading to me getting trashed by those scouts. Will do that next time tho thx
so I used the australium sticky launcher I was planning on selling recently, and jesus christ that thing is powerful
I’ll buy it from you
@@TheUKNutter no
King of Crabs Awww I like australiums
@@TheUKNutter yeah well I like the sticky bomb launcher
King of Crabs You said you were planning to sell it
Finally, I am now not trash at using stickies. Thank you.
Haven't even watched it all but good video
I love the sticky bomb launcher but i just wish the GL was better because hybrid knighting with the eyelander and a GL is so incredibly fun especially when you get max heads
Strange you've been using the iron bomber more often lately, welcome to the club brother!
A wiseman said you haven’t missed if you didn’t detonate (lazy purple)
I wish more aim guide videos taught practice routines instead of knowledge.
For example - aiming at enemy head height while walking around is good knowledge, but like having a good player's suggested practice methods (what to do and for how long) is more impactful in the long term.
puttin' that sticky in between
As a medic main who off-mains demo I think sticky spam should be nerfed as such. First 3 stickies should work as they do now, every sticky after should have a 50% lower firing rate. After 5 seconds of firing the 3rd sticky it would have a 5 second cooldown.
That way demomen whom have spent time learning jumping can do so still and those who spam can do so - just not as much.
To me it's the equivalent of soldiers aiming at feet and calling it 'skill'.
haha sticky spam go kaboooooooooooooooooooooooooooooon!
Thanks to you maybe I start be useful not only as spy, medic or pyro.
actually it is good to plant 2 or 3 stickies under someone who is ubered he will start flying and he has no uber anymore
6:20 "get thoes stickies in deep" "69 dmg" ;) (side note i love the vid man, its funny, entertaining and even as a long time demo player i learnt alot) :3
thanks man, it's hard hitting stickies when having to predict so much. can't just shoot in the face
“Well let’s take a looky here, I’m on upward..” (9:20 in video)
That don’t look like upward to me 😬
Naw
Your just trippin
What does Upward look like to you, mate?
*Perrty shure thas Upwarrd.*
@@mywither7878 Upwards you think... Really?
