Broooo, After buying my beatsx after almost one year I had this problem and I thought they’re done, couldn’t believe this situation is so frequent that I actually found a video about it, it’s been more than an year now since my BeatsX have stayed in its case, I think now it time that I finally repair them and bring them back to life. Thank you for the video!
Lol I just typed a comment on another of yours video thinking my battery is dead is the issue, and here you are confirming that and showing how to replace it. Nice
Hey! I bought the recommended battery from your website but it doesn't look anything like the original Beats battery. Also don't know which wires to solder to the terminal because they're color-coded differently. Could you give me some support? Much appreciated!

Wow so neat and doing the repair whilst commenting on the whole process. I purchased two pair of these (Beatx) a few days before Christmas 2020 for a present and never used them. They are still in their vacuum sealed packs. I opened one pack today 05/06/22 plugged in the supplied usb lead and the led flashed red a few times then went red. After that there is no light at all. Seems they are knackered. I cannot believe it. I have another pair purchased at the same time still sealed in vacuum film. I expect the same outcome so all I can think of is contacting the manufacturer and asking their advice. If they are not helpful I’ll film the live unboxing and charging, and upload it on RUclips. I’ve read lots of customers who have had the same issue, charging on the day of purchase. It seems quite a few of these have been sent out with bad batteries. I live in the UK so not sure when to purchase genuine batteries from. Any help appreciated. And yes I would expect these to work straight out of the box 17months unopened
Thanks. Year old beats wouldn't take a charge. Your guide helped me open it up. The battery voltage was around 0.5v. I was able to use a bench power supply to boost the battery up to 3.5v. Then the regular charger worked. Didn't have to replace the battery... Yet.

It's worth trying what Ben said. If the device has not been used for a while you may be able to bring the charge back up above 3V by charging very gently at anywhere between 3V-4.2V with limited current. If the battery drops too low the bms will kick in and disconnect power to and from the battery. However the BMS might be built into the battery which would make it pretty small and potentially difficult to bypass. generally you need to charge directly to the cell itself because the bms may have cut of power from the charger. this is because the battery can self destruct if charged at full power when below 3V as it becomes unstable. but v gentle charging will restore 3V minimum and then the normal charger will charge it. Someone just gave me a pair but i hate earbuds, they have never stayed in my ears. I will probably move the receiver over to a different type of headphones.

I bought some BeatsX on Ebay and they wouldnt turn on, just flashed red/white then solid white when plugged in like in the video. I got one of the silver batteries and it worked (I dont trust the black OEM batteries since they seem to have a very high failure rate). I was a little confused since the silver battery wires are different colors, the red wire goes where the single OEM white wire is, then black and white go with black and grey. Hopefully this silver battery doesnt fail like the black ones.

Ok, I just recieved the new battery from you. I installed it and now it just blinks red... I checked all the connections and they're pretty solid, any suggestions? Thanks Update: It was driving me crazy why it wasn't working right. The connections were solid and I put everything back the way it supposed to...I just scrapped the whole project. Hey, at least you're $17 richer right?
Imma try this but to resolder the pins i guess because my battery works its just the connectors that are loosen'd or disconnected because everytime i readjust the wires lights turned red and white to pair themselves and eventually straight white then when im done readjusting they suddenly turned off... Well wish me luck
Please note - the replacement battery from Joes comes with different wires - and NO instructions. When you you click on "original battery" - you get a picture of what I received - with Black, White and Red wires. The actual originally (as shown in both their video and webpage instructions) comes with Black, White and GREY wires. And that's also what they show in their video and webpage. You CANNOT substituted RED for GREY. Red is positive Grey is not. To their credit they answered the phone and clarified. And also had a shield over the Red wire - which told me they didn't want it to contact the other two (which would have been a bad deal) So, take care and use caution. And my cover did not come off as easily as their video (and others) described. Just FWIW. I did this more for the fun and challenge vs saving money - since the latest BeatX only cost slightly more than the cost (and effort) of replacing the battery. Good Luck!

My Beats X Sacai won't turn on, I suspect there's something wrong with the power button, but if I charge it the light goes on, is there any way to fix it? (HELP)
That was a very common issue. From what I remember it may be a bad main wire.
where do you get that flux in the syringe?

I bought some BeatsX on Ebay and they wouldnt turn on, just flashed red/white then solid white when plugged in like in the video. I got one of the silver batteries and it worked (I dont trust the black OEM batteries since they seem to have a very high failure rate). I was a little confused since the silver battery wires are different colors, the red wire goes where the single OEM white wire is, then black and white go with black and grey. Hopefully this silver battery doesnt fail like the black ones.
Do you ship the battery to germany? How much does shipping to germany cost?
Thank you for the comment. We do ship worldwide. You can simply go to our website (www.JoesGE.com) and add the part or product to your shopping cart. Then you can start the process of checking out. During this step you will add your shipping address. After that is completed you will see a shipping cost based off your location. That will be the cost of the shipping to your country.

Hi, so I was struggling with it to work, and then tried to switch two wires, since I had black, white, and red wires on the replacement. No light. BUT, I had these two metal prongs, and I tried to shove em in somewhere, and found that when they touch the pins across from the battery pins, the light turns on. But this only works at certain angles. So I think the LED got disconnected or something? Can you help me please?
Not your job to struggle - take the damn thing back!!!
What about taking apart the earbuds themselves

Ok, I just recieved the new battery from you. I installed it and now it just blinks red... I checked all the connections and they're pretty solid, any suggestions? Thanks
Update: It was driving me crazy why it wasn't working right. The connections were solid and I put everything back the way it supposed to...I just scrapped the whole project. Hey, at least you're $17 richer right?
Hello, thanks for commenting. Please email us at support@joesge.com and we will be able to better help you there.
Imma try this but to resolder the pins i guess because my battery works its just the connectors that are loosen'd or disconnected because everytime i readjust the wires lights turned red and white to pair themselves and eventually straight white then when im done readjusting they suddenly turned off... Well wish me luck
Mind blank like you said it work but instead of a steady white light it was just steady red light What seems to be my problem And thank you in advance
Great Video. Thanks!
Glad you liked it!
Thanks very informative
Glad it was helpful!
How does the battery die when unused for a few years?
As batteries sit, they lose power
Good Luck!
So what color did you connect the red wire too?
You could definitely email us and we could send schematics over.
What would happen if you soldered the red where the gray was supposed to be is it too late???
@@joserobledo3070 The red goes where the white used to go. The black stays black. The white goes where the grey used to go
