Last night was great except it was not a fair game. The refs were working for the other team only.

I'm done with the WNBA. The Fever could have beat the sun, but they cannot beat the referees.
Biased referees have always been a part of a the game they still had the opportunity to win please continue to watch Clark would want you to and by the way the refs were inconsistent in favor of the Suns.

Question, is it really great defence when you hack players and no fouls called?
Yes because the refs allowed that style of play and you play to the rules of the game. I would certainly argue that the refs missed several calls and that the certain types of contact should be fouls but the Sun use the knowledge that the refs allow a lot of contact in the playoffs to their advantage.
Carrington is an elite defender no matter the referees whistle. Nelson-Ododa is an athletic lengthy defender no matter the refs. So I do think they’ve be a good defensive team if things were called differently.
But the equation would change in favor of the Fever if things were called differently. But this isn’t strictly a Fever thing or new this year.
@@Phlibberty That is two different things. Playing to the rules and playing to what the refs let you get away with. They refs are charged to enforce the rules as they are intended not their own personal loose interpretation.
I agree Suns have some good defenders. But when you do not blow the whistle according to the rules a few things can happen - (1) you loose consistency and fairness of the whistle foe everyone (2) the more physical side gets to have an unfair advantage (3) affects outcomes and how teams play and can play. (4) a player could end up getting seriously hurt
The Refs have been very bad for everyone and every team. You and I would be unemployed if our week on week performance at work was as good as the WNBA refs.
@@markp353 I definitely agree the refs are trash. Both the inconsistency and what they have determined is allowable contact.
You also have to remember the Sun are constructed with that type of contact being allowed. If it’s outlawed tomorrow then going forward you’d see a change in approach from the top down in their organization. So I do think they are a good defensive team but I also think the rules themselves should be closer to what the NBA is, I’m not one of those begging for old school physicality to come back to the NBA. I want skill basketball to be allowed to flourish, and teams and players to adapt and develop according.

She even set another record last night first rookie to score 25 , 8 assist 6?rebounds in a playoff game!!

I agree with all you people. I think the Fever would have won with high school refs, as badly as that game was called. If the WNBA reforms over the off season, and if that includes the management and the refs, and finally, if the WNBA is still a league next season, I'll tune in to watch the Fever.

Facts
If the Fever can get a good defensive coach next year and iron out all those wrinkles, the Fever could be a major force to deal with.
Aliyah Boston & cc need to sharpen their defensive skills as the main players and of course kelsey Mitchell. Honestly they need a good defensive coach to make the whole team better on defense. Mabrey hit that shot bcuz temi goes and backs off to stand 8n the middle of the paint. Why would you back off her instead of getting in her face knowing she's a good shooter. Overall their defense is horrible but great season and looking forward to next season with a new coach too
We just witness HISTORY with CC and it all got diluted by the media and the narratives and the propped up rivalries and the bitter og's instead of focusing on the greatness that she is..CC exposed what the W is really about and its not a good look..The W need a overhaul top to bottom in mgt, players, coaches, media to become a viable sports and entertainment value and option for viewers..The old way of thinking and style of play has not been relevant for 20 years..The old og's players and coaches and the physical style of play need to leave....The UCON monopoly and mafia need to be broken up for the W to survive..

Some of CC passes were epic, especially that mid second qtr arcing lob over the entire Sun defense to AB's hands under the basket. OMG Just F$$king magic.
People criticize the WNBA because they are not prepared to have Caitlin Clark. But I ask: are the media prepared to cover the WNBA? Yesterday a player scored 42 points. Did they talk about her? No. I'm not even going to ask why...
Throughout the season, when it came down to someone talking the big shot at the end of the game, it was Mitchell over Clark, and this game was no different. Clark needs that green light and she didn't get it once again.
She had easily 10pts due her in uncalled fouls. It was just too obvious about the bias.
