  • You can get happier. And getting there will be the adventure of a lifetime.
The Atlantic columnist and Harvard Professor Arthur Brooks offers a blueprint for a better life.
When times are good, this is easy to believe. But sometimes life’s hardships can feel like impossible barriers, making happiness seem out of reach. In these times, the only way to get happier is to wait and hope things get better. Right? Wrong.
A Professor at Harvard Business School specialising in happiness and leadership, Arthur Brooks share his insights into realising greater happiness, no matter how challenging your circumstances. Drawing upon the ideas in Build the Life You Want, his new book co-authored with Oprah Winfrey, he will offer not unrealistic promises of perfect bliss, but evidence-based tools to meet you wherever you are and make greater happiness a choice.

    The life I want:
    - not needing to worry about water, food, shelter and ability predict that these things will not be taken from me tomorrow
    The life I get:
    - a constant world chaos and zero ability to predict what’s going to happen tomorrow

One must define "faith" (like your beliefs and ideologies); those do change. So, it isn't a recipe with three ingredients.

I am sorry to read that you were going through a dark night of the soul. I hope things are better now. Perhaps, even, the grandbaby has been born? What a joy!❤

Sorry for being negative. But, the rich writes a book different from the poor due to that one has everything and the one has nothing so gravitation is different😊

Jim Carrie said he noticed that when he eats sugar the day before he wakes up the next morning with this feeling of concern. He also noticed when he does not eat sugar the next day he wakes up without that feeling of concern.

I’m surprised by how much you refer to evolutionary psychology to describe our thinking. This form of psychology is far from proven.
