Most underrated cocktail channel there is. Excellent video as usual. I love your style and extensive history on each drink you make. I've been eagerly awaiting more videos from you, so I'm happy to see you post one today. Can't wait for the next!
@@DistinguishedSpirits I can't help but to wonder what happened to this channel. When I found it, I thought it was one of the best cocktail channels on RUclips. I really hope you decide to start making videos again.
HA! Beats the original. Awesome! Glad you like it so well. I find it has a lot of delicate complexity that sets it apart from it's inspirational antecedent. But then again, I'm biased.
Has anyone ever heard what happened to this channel? This is one of the best and certainly most underrated cocktail channels on RUclips. His absolutely understated style is awesome.
Thanks DS, you’ve excelled yourself once again. Every video I always feel transported back in time wishing I was at some island beach drinking the cocktail unfolding before us.
Love this one, and all your videos! I hope you're doing well. I revisit your tiki videos every year around summer. Thanks for making them and I hope you never delete them!
Ayyyy! That shaker looks so slick. I recently ordered some Tequila and Mezcal for Oaxaca Old Fashions. Always have Mr. Black at the ready now too. Definitely gonna try this one.
It's been a while since I've visited your channel and I've actually picked up a bottle of Mr Black coffee liqueur, it's very difficult for me to find a coffee liqueur that I'm really satisfied with and I have yet to try it but I have high hopes since I've seen other channels use it before. One brand that I am quite familiar with and enjoy quite a bit based out of Austin, Texas. Try looking up Del Fuego coffee liqueur, I've had it many a times before and for the price point and flavor profile it is bar none one of my favorites but sadly only sell it in Austin as far as I know of.
¡¡Me encanta este cóctel!! I appreciate the history of Bali Hali. This cocktail has all my favorites, mr. Black. Reposado tequila y Mezcal 💚💚 #saludcita 💚🥃👊🏼
@@DistinguishedSpirits it was delicious, but as you suggested on FB, I need to make my own/try it with aztec orgeat, thanks again for the inspiration 👍👍
As always thanks for the best cocktail content on the internet. I always go to your videos when I'm in doubt what recipe to use. I do miss other videos than tiki drinks though, as I don't really make many of those. Thanks and cheers anyways!
@@DistinguishedSpirits always! Really looking forward to 'em. Just for inspiration I would love to see you make 'better' versions of things like the tequila sunrise or Cosmopolitan. Or just classics like the Champs Elysses. Thanks again for all the work!
just in time for November 2nd. I'll be making that Orgeat in the next week or so, so I better find that Mr. Black pronto! Thanks for the video, as always top-notch content!!!
He's back! And wow what a drink. I don't have access to your sponsored Mr. Black but will St. George NOLA Coffee Liqueur work? Also, looks like I need to seek out non-smoky mezcal...
I've been trying to find a non-smoky mezcal. Is there anything on the label I should look for. We just got a total wine in town and they have a good sized selection.
Damn. Last year's winner was a swizzle, a major tiki entry here, and I start work on my tiki entry tomorrow 😯 (partly inspired by some episodes on this channel, but not the MBH).
I love this channel, the video, the history, and the drink! So, I don't want to be a jerk, but I don't think your mug is an actual David Lozeau sugar skull mug. It's not a bad mug, but I do think it's an imitation of his mugs.
adding to the choir of people asking you to come back. easily the most underrated cocktail channel on youtube.
Still thinking about you... Miss you DS
I wish you’d come back!
me too
I just discovered this channel and have been binging none stop. I need more videos sir.

Cheers! Glad you dug it.
Your videos of such high replay value. Hoping to see more soon and hope you're well!
Was here to check everything is ok? I miss your recipes and stories
I miss your videos. It's been awhile hope life is treating you well.
Dude... come back... start making videos again!!
Where are you dude? You okay?
So glad you're back! Cocktail researcher nonpareil. Just made the drink and it's wonderful; I actually prefer it to the classic recipe.

This is my favorite channel and was my guide into Tiki along with Beachbum Berrys books.
Nice to see you back

Yeah! I love the matte finish on it. Let me know what you think of the drink when you whip one up.
I love your voice, and I love the history you provide with your drinks.
Cheers! Glad to hear it. Thanks for the love, as always!
Oh even though I can't get Mr Black I do have local espresso liqueurs that this would make it sing! Love mezcal in tikis

Yes!!! It's about time!!!!!
The Kenny Loggins album?
The introduction perfectly encapsates the cultural whirlwind of tiki escapism!
Cheers! Glad you liked it.
Sooo excited to have a new DS video!!
Cheers! Thanks for the support, as always.
THE KING IS BACK
Haha. Cheers!
You've been missed! Thanks for another great video and drink.
Thank you! Glad you liked the video. Let me know what you think of the drink, when you give it a try.
I love this. As an enthusiast of mezcal, the notion of Tijuana Tiki is a beautiful revelation. Mille gratias
For sure! It's a pretty exciting little subset of tiki culture.
Damn, you have been quiet lately, mate..
Hope you are fine..
Brought me through the pandemic with you Tiki related videos (and others).
You good man? It’s been a long while since we’ve heard anything from you, hope things are ok.
Please post more! I love your content.
Glad to hear it. So many videos. So little time.
Awesome, definitely going to have a go at this, thanks!
Do it! Let me know what you think of it.

Very nice. And that candid photo of Beachbum is SOLID GOLD. 😂
Haha. Yeah! So good. But that wasn't me doxxing him. That was in his book. Glad you like this one. Cheers!
Great way to end the week with a new video. Thanks
Thanks for watching. Cheers!
Welcome back!
Cheers!

COME BACK!!!!!
It's warming up and almost tiki tiki tiki season! We need more Distinguished Spirits!!! Also, what do you think of Spike's Breezeway Cocktail Hour?
I've been trying to find a non-smoky mezcal. Is there anything on the label I should look for. We just got a total wine in town and they have a good sized selection.
Look for these. They're at Total Wine.
Ilegal Joven
Banhez Espadin Barril
Don Amado
Damn. Last year's winner was a swizzle, a major tiki entry here, and I start work on my tiki entry tomorrow 😯 (partly inspired by some episodes on this channel, but not the MBH).
Oh nice! You have a tiki drink that you're submitting to the Global Coffee Cocktail Challenge? Can't wait to hear about it. Cheers!
OMG are you telling me the trader sams window is a view of bali hai?!
Crazy, huh?
I noticed it too!!!
Any new vids coming down the pike? Revisiting your Penicillin tonight.
There's a traffic jam on the turnpike. That's not my Penicillin. It's Sam Ross' invention. But it is magnificent and ALWAYS in season.
4:38 LOL, I love how they didn't even attempt to sound British.

Yeah. Someone else pointed that out to me as well. I guess I got a David Lofaux mug.
💣
🙌
Also Sage according to folklore wards off evil so it fits with a Day of the Dead drink.
Ha! Even better!
I think it may be more correct to pronounce it "Bah-Lee". Great video none the less, really enjoyed it.

Why you stop making cocktail video
I'm your big follower and fan of your channel I learned a lot on you videos
I hope you are back soon
Cheers! Thanks for the love.

2024 come back distinguished spirits
you were my favorite cocktail show. What happend ?
1:50 Fletcher Christians ancestors are still alive? What are they, vampires?
It should be the next season of What We Do In the Shadows.
'add that/those to the shaker' is repeated often. 'add to your shaker...' and then list it, you'll save a lot of time and repetitiveness.
Haha. Well, if you don't like hearing that, you're not going to like my older videos.
