- Ed and I wanted to share with you our experience, the best experience ever, with working with a gate guard company. In all the years we've been gate guarding, we've never felt so welcome. Like we were now part of the family. And the 'Yard' is amazing! As we pulled around the corner we saw the campground but I said no way is that the yard. I called Justin and sure enough, the campground was the yard. Amazing full-hookups either 30amp or 50amp AND a restroom/shower house AND laundry! The campground is FREE to stay at while you are waiting for a new assignment. We were shocked! But that was just a start. They asked us to come into the office for orientation the following day. All the staff made us feel so comfortable and welcoming but also gave us all the tools take make our transition go smoothly. We left the office that day feeling confident but also feeling so blessed to be with the company. BUT as we were leaving the office, the Justin offered us a gate and yes of course we took it. The next day we packed up and started the new adventure with the help of Justin. He was waiting for us at our new location and trained us on the iPad and how the gate is to be ran. Super nice!

My family lived in Oildale CA back in the fifties. We called the location “ The Up-Down Ranch”. Never have I heard those Up/Downs called an Iron Horse. But I can see why Iron horse is a good name.

Best of luck! What company are you signing with? We try to keep it positive but also showing the real truth. Just like any job, it’s not all perfect but we keep coming back. LOL. Currently we are on a solar job site. A new experience for us.

Sure. We were placed on a private ranch logging traffic in and out the gate for a oil company.
