Although I have to admit my bias :) The Temple of Elemental Evil is a part of the AD&D line whereas Castle Amber (X2) is a part of the B/X line, and I don't think it's a secret which one I prefer! Hahahaha Plus, if I'm being completely honest, I think The Temple of Elemental Evil was a bit disappointing... Zuggtmoy? Really?!? Anyway, great video! Thanks again :)
RollStats Yeah they definitely broke the B/X streak with Expedition to Barrier Peaks and now Elemental Evil both being AD&D modules. I agree that the lackluster reveal at the end of Elemental Evil is a huge negative, but that’s why I have always changed the ending to something far more sinister! Zuggtmoy was anticlimactic as written.

Thanks for the review. I just picked up Barrier Peaks my first my first Goodmsn game product and I love it. I especially love the expanded encounters and new level. They fit right in if I have to be honest I think including a reprint of two versions that were almost the same was unesssry. With now 3 copies of every picture and every map. I am trying to decide what to get next, I will probably go with Temple of Elemental Evil. I am definitely very excited about there next one though Judge's Guild"s "Dark Tower" one of my all time favorite adventures.
Temple of Elemental Evil is definitely an epic choice! I really need to do a review of it. I’ve picked all of them up so far so I was thinking about doing a video showing each one that they’ve produced so far. Barrier Peaks is a great choice for your first one! I hope you enjoy it!
I have fond memories playing through this module as a kid. In hindsight, it was a little silly the pyramid was inhabited by multiple creatures living in adjacent rooms, sort of like a monster hotel. :-) What were they doing out in the middle of the desert? How did they survive? But at the time I wasn't worried about logic, lol.

I have mixed feelings about the B4 Module. In terms of layout/design/story, it is actually pretty good. But, in terms of logic/science/etc. , it broke immersion for me. Specifically, the part about wine. The Cynidiceans do not have contact with nor do they trade with the outside world. The Module's environs is a desert. The Cynidiceans live underground without sunlight. So, how can the Cynidiceans get or cultivate grapes, inorder to make wine? The Module has other shortcomings as well. Sorry for the rant. :=P

It’s kinda like how in the old days they had sequels to popular adventures like Return to White plume mountain and return to the tomb of horrors. In essence this 5e version is like The Lost city and return to the Lost city all in one

Princess of the Apocalypse is inspired by The Temple of Elemental Evil in a lot of ways, but it’s not a conversion of the original module. These books are straight up conversions.

While I play Pathfinder, not 5E, i'm thinking of picking these up, to have hardcover, quality printed versions of these old adventures.
They are so worth it! Especially the new 2 book slipcase of Temple of Elemental Evil!!!
