Tbh i like the Estuary variant the most since Deinosuchus is "closer" related to modern alligators than the modern crocodiles. plus the grey looks really menacing
Yeah this is what’s making me torn!
Swamp variant reminds me of a saltwater crocodiles, which they had a similar lifestyle
I ordered mine yesterday and decided to go with the swamp variant. I like both paint schemes, but Tbh I thought the estuary variant was indistinguishable at a distance from an alligator. Still both are beautiful.
2 more reasons Rebor is one of my fave figure makers. I can see if you displayed one by itself, it might come across as a just a alligator or crocodile, but Rebor wisely including a dead dino torso lets you know, oh its one of those things that ate dinosaurs lol
Rebor models have always incredible details...and now they re also scientific accurate...smilodon, t rex, stegosaurus, triceratops are the top on market. And prices are right for such great models.
If anybody love these they’re going to love the Sarcosuchus and hopefully more company make more crocodilians like Boar Croc(Kaprosuchus) or Many of the others
Now this deinosuchus is a awesome figure I must get it
Another excellent and thorough review. I got the grey/Estuary version---the first Deinosuchus fossil was found in my home state of North Carolina in the 1800s. I am really impressed with the detailing---I have avoided Rebor dinosaurs before because I thought the skin details were inferior to Nammu. etc. I'm glad your review enlargements show details that are too small for me to see on my figure--particularly on the Appalachiosaurus. The impressive Rebor Deinosuchus gives me a lot of hope for its upcoming Postosuchus.
Surely you mean the “upcoming Sarcosuchus”
It was mentioned on the dinotoy forum that Rebor is releasing a Postosuchus and a member replied that hopefully it will be accurate in being bipedal.
@@dragon-ly2xf dont see why it wouldnt be, if this model and other recent releases is anything to go by, rebor is really improving the realism in their sculpts
Dude this is awesome! You finally got both versions!
Finally the REBOR Deinosuchus
Awesome review Andy!!
I typically stick to only one color variant but wow these 2 are so gorgeous I have to get both! Thank you for the wonderful review as always Andy!
Cannot wait for this! They both look incredible, but leaning towards swamp! I’ve wanted a deinosuchus for so long!
Rebor have just gotten better and better.
amazing review, the figure is incredible!
Epic review of some pretty gorgeous figures from Rebor
Hope you had a great day
I love these! I love em both but I think I favor the grey one the most it reminds me so much of the one in lake placid which happens to be one of my favorite movies lol. Thank you for this review Andy I have these guys on my must have list 😍
My #1 favorite Rebor figure and probably their best release ever
Two beautiful figures! Incredible
Hats off to Rebor. Bloody terrifyingly real
Both of them so beautiful and amazing 🤩.
Definitely getting one of the variants
I’m just happy I got mine! There going extinct fast!
Sarco will be reallllly cool!
Love your vids!
I buy many you review! Maby I would have missed out on if it wasn’t for your videos! Thank you Andy!
Many* i would have missed out on.
Thank you! I really appreciate it and I love hearing that as it makes all the work I put into the channel worth it!
I like that these are in scale with the 3 3/4 scale figures from Mattel.
Beautiful figure, looks like its alive, outstanding 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻💯
Swamp seems inspired by the Nile crocodile while the other is obviously (based on the name) inspired by the Saltwater crocodile.
Tbf the swamp version looks more like saltwater croc than a mile croc
Thanks for the video!! See you later!! Stay safe.😊
First + great video!!
Nice video
I pick the Swamp version because it’s coloring is similar to that of a Crocodile. Because I like Crocodiles better than Alligators. They can say what they want about Deinosuchus, but I still think it’s like a Crocodile to me.
Dutchman2020 has it correct as to the path this beast followed as being ancestral to the extant alligators which the Estuary variant coloration favors. The Swamp variant is very crocodilian, paint-wise.
Both are super looking and I’ll probably have to spring for both.
I believe Rebor will be giving us a Sarcosuchus in the same scale somewhere down the road.
Hope so. It would be great to have this family of reptiles better represented and the 1/35 scale is perfect.
Cant wait for the sarcosuchus, i love that these unfairly under represented forces of nature are finally getting time to shine!
Bonus: 23:23 I have that Croc as well. I got it for Christmas & did a slow & steady articulation to it. Plus, I remember correctly, it had 2 babies with it. 1 that has the same coloring as the Adult & the other that’s an Albino color.
Dream figures for crocodilian lovers, just imagine the bite force of a real living Dienosuchus.
I’d love to see the prank reaction
23:04, it is massive compared to the other crocodiles.
21:42, look good in scale next to Muldoon
Do the sarcosutras next please
Well, I've got fossils of this big fella.
Another figure I now need 😩😩 lol
Hey, any idea when the rebor sarcosuchus is coming
24:55, the Rex looks pretty good compared to Deinosuchus.
Thanks for the video. I love both! BTW, I was double-checking the size, but it turns out it could measure from 8-10 meters (up to 12 m for the largest specimens. If you consider that the specimen was an adult, but not that old, or in a rather limited space or a female (or any combination of the above), it would be right on the 1:18 scale. Considering that and how difficult it is to get nice crocodiles, I see this as a must in my collection. Any ideas on how long it will be available?
Also, can anyone tell me about other croc figures with articulated jaw (at least), good details and a rather neutral pose I could get them?
The box even lists it as a 1/11 scale, every website selling it shows as a 1/35 though.
I don't get much but I had to get this. It's beautiful! Even my wife was really impressed.
Imagine your collection being so large that you can’t find a figure 😂
This was advertised as 1/35 Scale but the packaging notes that its 1/11+ what can you say about that?
How come the boxes say "Scale 1:11 +-1"?
Estuary looks like the Deino from the Isle, if anyone knows that game lol
The swamp variant is one crocs I’d spend money on (I loathe the footwear) and it looks as if modeled after the philippine big salty, Lolong.
It is weird that every listing has it as a 1/35 figure, but the box lists it as a 1/11 scale.
I would prefer the estuary version. It looks more like an Alligator as Deinosuchus supposed to be closely related with alligator than crocodile.
Im amazed and angry at the same time because im waiting months for them...
Hard to choose wich one is my favorite.
Scientific accuracy should help you choose between variants. 👍
Question can the tail bend?
A little bit closer to the end of the tail.
The Estuary Version is more scientifically accurate 💯
No way this is 1/35 scale, Rebor clearly didn't do their research lol. This is more like 1/20 - 1/22 scale from current fossil evidence.
The box lists the item as a 1/11 - although every webiste I've seen selling it sayss 1/35.
Are these meant to be male or female specimens?
I think it would actually be easier to justify them as females because they are on the smaller side of the size range. That is, of course, if you want them in the 1:18 scale.
Way out of scale closer to 1/20 to 1/23
