My parents are actually from Nicaragua, but I was born in Canada. They always told me stories about how the nature was great, the food is amazing and the people were friendly. I've actually never been there, but I wish I could experience it for myself. The only downside about the nation is the politics that revolve around the country. I will be in Nicaragua in a month for first time for about 10 days. I will be in Granada for few nights then about 5 nights in Ometepe. Do you recommend San Juan del Sur also? Any other places you recommend? I love nature and I have been told Nicaragua is very similar to Costa Rica which I love and been to many many times.

If you walked to the right of Maderas you’d get to a beach called Majagual which is one of the most beautiful beaches in the area.
The past year l went to san juan del sur and ometepe lsland was a good experience
