What I wouldn't give for a compilation of Jimmy doing the Todd voice. It gets me every time.
TOTALLY. I love all of Jimmy's impressions. They're technically terrible, but in a weird way, he somehow Jimmy always manages to capture the essence of the person. Pettengill, Quincy, a bunch others.
Mix that in with a compilation of Jimmy telling Lady Di to "put Bill on" while everyone screams at him and I'll die a happy old man
Jimmy's Todd impression is what Jimmy is gonna sound like when he's 84
Uh yeah this is Knickerbocken IReplyToTenYearOldRUclipsComments…Jr. and I’m calling from the place, did you know your wife was here until she went outside and got hit by a bus?…,ahhh hummadummadingalingdouhdouhdow..
@@JaneDoe-zr4px
Yesssss. Like his Louis CK impression when on the phone with Di, it both stunk and didn't at the same time.
"Munk likes to stir the pot"
Scorch: Sibby likes to smoke the pot hehe
"We're going to turn this into a whole blues joint, a blues JOINT..." - Joe Piscopo
I was literally thinking that exact thing when I heard that part haha
Lookie, lookie, Ms. Cookie!
Sometimes I see these clips and I say to myself "you never heard this before." Then I click on the video and see that I left a comment three years ago. I'm getting senile.
Almost time for a rewatch on this one👍
@silantbill ha ha ha, yep!
I hear ya.
I think in my case alcohol has something to do with it. (Not a big drinker but I've been known to enjoy old clips on a Saturday night)
Just checked ratings for morning radio in NY. Scott is 4th and Todd 12th. So much for all his great hip content.
Vocal Fry yeah unfortunately
WPLJ just signed off. He’s off the air.
I love Jimmy's bits where he's begging Opie not to read the next line. He's just trying to protect us!
jims todd impression gets me every time. so fucking funny
I'm just glad that Opie contributed a burp to this.
Ay this is Flappy McShnoodlebacher
Jimmy's Todd voice sounds like helium Colin Quinn.
I feel that he's always been doing a Colin impression and Bob Kelly is doing a Norton impression (double watered-down Colin impression).
This is one of the best segments of the year, thanks Stevie, you're a sweet boy.
Jim's Todd impression is the best..."Annie you can't say dat, you gotta pull back a little!"
@silantbill I'd listen every day.
"Every day I came in and Scott would spit on me!"
3:50 Opie is projecting because he feels like HE brought ANT to New York.
Opie didn't do shit. He claims he had a huge show before he met ant lol he was on wbab a local long island station that doesn't even reach all of long island. He was going nowhere until he lucked into meeting ant. Opie is luckiest guy in history of not just radio but all of entertainment
I can't get enough of Jimmy's Todd (Kippy) voice LMAO
The asparagus piss thing cracks me up every time.
@35:25 such a simple line, yet so God Damn funny.
If you can read this, you are better than Opie at something.
"*faster paste*"
*everything*
I've been reading since I was 18
Rayyyydioooo
😂
"He never would've made it to NY if Todd didn't pull him in"
That's all Opie can think about, people owing other people for their success.
Opie is the master of projection lol.
If Scott didn't pull him in***
Spot on...
It was his insurance for when he blew this whole thing up. He holds onto the fact that he "found" Anthony and knows he'd be nothing without him, but doesn't want anyone else to think it.
And ant backing him up and adding to that point was lost to you?
Opie is how old and has done radio for 20 years and still reads like a 5 year old
still, the show was amazing even in 2014. Losing Ant killed this fucking show. RIO
Ryan Gebhardt rio 2016
The guy has been doing radio since he was 18. Back off!!!
@@chocolatetownforever7537 and he grew up poor!
Sam in the background with the "I'm Opie's bitch" laugh.
oh man, O&A's story happened to be completely identical to Scott and Todd's one.
bsklasika Nope
I don’t think it’s fair to compare Scott Shannon to Anthony. As much as I loathe anthony’s Politics I’d say he’s a couple of notches beyond the boat movie guy.
@@jamesmoseley5428 Nah Scott Shannon doesn't fuck kids like Nana does.
I just listened so I could hear myself call in.
Good god
Less than a minute into this clip opie says "that they should have moved on from radio long time ago" yet he keeps blaming Anthony to this day as being the one "blew up" the opie and Anthony show. For a guy who makes up shit that never happened in his fucking head you'd think that opie could keep a lie straight
Todd is about as edgy as a balloon
But balloons aren't edgy at all!
OH LITERAL JIM!
Sometimes those aluminum ones have sharp edges where the two sides meet.
alan wilson Fawk yeah let’s go to the phones
There are a dozen ways to kill a man using balloons.
I really miss Anthony on this show...(
This might be more cringe worthy than Club Piscopo
nothing is more cringy than Club Piscopo lol
30:23 ahahahaha as a matter of fact Fridays off WAS right around the corner for one of them
Erock interview of Meatball was really telling of who Todd is.
I thought I couldn't hate Todd more until that Meatballs interview
Opie tthought the radio business was embarrassing. Then he got fired and found out actually he was embarrassing.
5:33 the caller had a great delivery on that. 😂
If there would ever be a reason for them to reunite, it would be a Todd Show Fugitive bit.
I'm glad Opie jokes around about making t-shirts. You would have to be an absolute hack swindler to make a t-shirt and sell it to your fanbase. I'm sure he would never do that.
SLOBBO!
killustrator Hello three year old comment, but that was kind of opies joke, he actually made fun of himself for once.
Christian 681 Why is it silly to insult a multi-millionaire who is trying to make a little pocket money by selling some hacky T-Shirts?
Todd secretly wants to be a suit.
+Matthew Herzog
Well, the 'secret' has kind'a been out for quite a while, now.
"You're just trying to hide the fact that you're not entertaining when these dumb microphones are on." 31:28
Well, that's a way to look at it...
You don’t know how happy I am that chipper makes fun of the fact that opie would burp all the freaking time. Just hearing him do it in the replays drives me crazy
Opie burping into the mic is radio GOLD.
It's wonderful how Gregg keeps taking phone calls that have nothing to do with the topic they're speaking about
Just when I was about to write a comment about them not making a deez nuts joke, Ant makes one.
He's a hard worker, but it's the equivalent of spending 6 hours to pour a bowl of cornflakes. His show could be done by anyone. Playing music, talking about entertainment...shit we do on the regular when we hang out with friends.
Working hard is overrated. Its about working efficiently and figuring things out.
@@agoo7581 no doubt. He spends all that time in a studio, and all he can come up with are those stupid parody songs. Hard work without talent gives us those fake phone calls. Patrice and Ant did that country music bit off the top of their heads.
"Dinner parties"?? WTF, is this guy Woody Allen?
dude add me on club penguin
According to Wikipedia, Todd was born April 1st, 2008. So he is younger than the guys. Nice try Opie.
WTF? So he's 14 now?
Something else Opie should be tased for at every failed utterance is "Oh hell no." Douche chills abound.
26:25 underrated Ant line.
Opie taking that call from "gaylord" = 😩
🚗💢💥
Period. PERIOD. Yik.
Lol
@19:15 I can't tell if Jimmy was just a little slow there and couldn't come up with a joke quick enough or if he was slipping into a Chip-Todd character lol
"You never want to plan your whole show because then you feel like you have to stick to that schedule. Like you feel like you have to go to the phones in the middle of a conversation. Or when something I didn't suggest is being discussed, you can just go to the phones"
Wow there is such a fascinating subtext to this video
Opie propping up Scott was a passive aggressive dig at Anthony and Jimmy.
it's funny hearing them talking about how comfortable and what a great postilion they're in when like 2 months later ant got fired
And then Opie was left in full control, only to go into a tail spin that resulted in Jimmy and Sam having his job, Anthony having his own successful podcast network, and Opie babbling at almost 100 people on Facebook about nothing.
got to love the reading.
Jimmy’s pain at 11:14 🤣🤣🤣
Knowing what we know now, hearing Opie say he gets in 30 minutes before the show and then saying Anthony gets in 5 minutes before and then hearing Anthony and Jim scramble to saw Anthony gets in 15 minutes before... just ridiculous. Millionaire Anthony couldn't be bothered to get in before 6am and millionaire Opie has to be passive aggressive about it and throw him under the bus.
That's what happens when your substance abuse issues keep you up and drinking until 2 am when you have a show to do at 6.
Todd has been crap since his Mullet wearing days in the WWE. Hahahah
Its funny to hear old school wrestling fans talk about Todd as if he was something special
He was pretty good back then
Opie says it's fucked up what todd did to Scott and then turned around to do something similar to Anthony...
Did opie ever get an all access interview?
6:45 Jim's Todd voice starts
31:49 But you didn't steal Chip, right? Norton is slime.
I realised that opie only went to Gaylords call just so opie could tell his shitty uninteresting story. There was no reason to go to gaylord cause all he did was tell us about his name. Opie really is all about himself
I remember Todd from the shitty mid-90's WWF with his mullet and cheesy announcer voice.
Its the empire state building..we'll be back😂😂😘
the irony and double meaning in ant and jims agreement is delicious. yessss
maybe i keep missing it in the videos im watching but where is the clips of jim doing chip and todd combined
These guys have ruined regular radio for me , now I hear War of the roses etc. on a local Sac station I laugh
22:23 ... LMAO
Norton constantly abusing Todd for stealing the Jerky Boys’ “Frank Rizzo” character, acting like he knows the Jerky Boys soooo well, naming the guy who did the character (Johnny Brennan) then claiming he never heard “Jack Tors”, (done by the same Johnny Brennan on their most popular album) who Chip sounds EXACTLY like, is too worm-like and cringe-inducingly hypocritical, even for the king of worms himself, Jim Norton.
Yeah it is a real shame that Jimmy was equally as much a thief.
@@FortunateJuice Could be an homage. I didn't appreciate the chip character when I listened to O and A live.
But nowadays I find it hilarious. Its like only instance where Norton looked like he may have been influenced by another creative talent.
I don’t think Chip sounds anything like Jack Tors.. Have you listened to thise albums recently? Jack Tors is a flamboyant gay guy with a soft, feminine voice.. Whereas Todd sounds exactly like Frank Rizzo
4:42 oh boy, the foreshadowing...
Robin’s beep photography tsss
26:35 Lmao I love to imagine how bad they would’ve bashed Todd for doing the fugitive bit.
Is opie like todd in the sense that they both tried to abandon their respective radio partners??
Two things: first, this was from ten years ago and even then, Pettengill's view of radio was already antiquated. He wanted to go back to what radio was in the '70s and '80s, and something that radio hadn't been for at LEAST ten years prior to this interview. Nobody gives a crap about whether or not you mention their town or visit their school. And it was Pettengill's lack of vision and stubborn refusal to get with the times that led to the spectacular failure of not just his show, but of WPLJ as a whole.
The second thing is, Pettengill goes on and on about how important it is for radio DJs to "think local," but he spent the last years of his show phoning it in from his home studio in Texas. Which is fine, but it makes his whole "We are...NEW YORK! We are...NEW JERSEY!" rant all the more hilarious.
Just checked ny ratings and Scott's in 2nd place. Todd isn't even in the top 15
Ahhhumdubadubadubaboomboomchowhumdubadubaduba
This gets me every time 🤣🤣
It blows my mind that Todd came into this thinking “My ideas are going to revolutionize radio!” And then he drags out the exact. Same. Tired. Cliches. Stuff that’s been ran into the ground by every little crap station in the country, and somehow Todd thought that if HE did it then he would make it seem new and exciting. You just KNOW that Todd was constantly behind Scott’s back, telling the station director “I could be doing groundbreaking radio if only I wasn’t chained to that dinosaur Scott!”. Suddenly Scott is gone, and everyone realizes that SCOTT was the reason people were actually listening😂 The downfall of Todd Pettingill and his giant ego is my favorite O&A bit ever.
opie and todd the biggest downfalls in radio history no talent hacks
Jimmy making nitroglycerine dynamite jokes?!?!?!
Opie would have become Todd if not for Anthony. Id still listen to Todd before ol nopie
The fact that Jimmy said 'avocado' and not 'Advocaat' enrages me. Yes, I have autism.
LyovMyshkin wit' a lil bit of the ADVACAT
Cosmic Vacation I don't know that word. :) I do know a dutch liqueur and a mediocre football manager called Advocaat.
I love Jimmy's Todd impression so fucking much.
It's really gross the way Gregg thinks ppl owe him for "bringing them into the biz...". He wouldn't have brought anyone in if they weren't bringing value, as Ant clearly did/does. Not like it was a favor. Ant's talented so u brought him aboard to help your show. The end... stop it
I cried when the guy told us his last name
5:00
opie is a pro club penguin player
They all know what's expected of them which is everything - ick
The most pompous thing about Todd is that he has mentioned being real in the interview multiple times...but he stole a character from the Jerky Boys.
The only reason my country ass knows about Pettingill is WWF. He helped make it cornball af in the 90s.
Toward the very end of the Anthony era.
I didn't know there was 24 months
"was"?
Opie is taking pop shots at Anthony and Jim
Does opie mispronounce every name he reads on purpose in a passive aggressive way or is he dyslexic?
I only clicked on this because I’ve run out of nopie shows. Listening to okie talk about radio…ugh. 😂
The irony of yimmy shitting on todd for stealing from the jerky boys
How did lil yimmy steal from them?
@@brendonsmith1364 if you search it up you can find a character that the jerky boys used to do that is basically the mold for early chip. Not the over the top chip that Norton does now, but, still it’s hard to deny.
Opie makes fun of Todd, but Todd is better than Opie will ever be.
they're both equally cringe inducing, but in their own way.
Sexton Hardcastle nah chill, nobody is calling opie entertaining... but todd is on another level of awful.
Sexton Hardcastle it would have been interesting to swap Opie and Todd's jobs for a week and see how they both handle it
At least Todd can sing - the music is cancer but he is at least an average singer - so Todd is probably more talented. By the way, isn't Sexton Hardcastle the wrestler Edge's first name? I don't know why I know that...
aahh... i nearly came when i saw this title
Pest reunion in the comment section of the new Todd Pettingal show.. Pass on .. November 2019
Todd was born in 1961
27:07 "Up to two or more..." What the hell kind of phrasing is that? Makes no sense.
Opie's voice just sounds defeated.
I feel bad for him... sorta
i'm a guy who can't do a decent interview
"i was exaggerating for the radio"
were ya?
At the time that this was recorded, Todd Pettengill was 53. He's 57 now and still trying to convince the world that he's a hip, young guy. He's actually the same age as Anthony and we all know that that fucking paisan is getting long in the tooth!
Shut the Fawk up cizzzz. You tripping mugggg
He's 60 now. Dead and buried professionally.
35:25 lmao
"24/04/14"
What is this more-reasonable-ass dating system?!?!?!?
Reasonable? More like madness.
did the todd show saga get removed?
kickassmage I was wondering the same thing. It was gold. Let me know if you ever find it please sweety.
Most people think the Opster sucks, but I think we can all agree that it's hilarious when he burps in the mic
Does Opie smoke weed? He often sounds, reads and thinks like I used to the morning after a heavy night, as if everything's a little bit foggy and he can't hang onto a thought for more than a few seconds.
check out the roaches maaan
Nope. He’s just bad at things. Radio for instance. And speaking.
He does
