The room is awesome, dude! Gotta love IKEA for gaming related shelving! I also agree on the Japanese GameCube games, I only have a few in my collection but that sm0l form factor is too cute.
Right? The sleeves aren’t durable, but they’re adorable! One of the game stores I frequent here in Osaka was having a blowout sale recently on GameCube games. (¥200-¥400 a piece, boxed!). I never intended to start a GC collection, but they’re SO cute! And at those prices... well... I have about 20 or so now... 🤣😅 And thanks for the tip on IKEA for game shelves! I’ve been looking for a solution...
To be honest I would not use Ikea stuff for gaming at all. I know it is hard to barf up some money "only" for the setup, but over 12 Years I had one Ikea shelf after the other breaking down on my gaming setups, especially if you put an old heavy CRT TV on top of the Retro shelf :( It took me several hrs of planning it out with my wife (a home designer) and it was pricy, but my current setup is very satisfying and sturdier than anything I ever saw from Ikea! *We had custom built 2 big shelves (1,20m high and about 2m wide EACH )* Now I can have my CRT and HD TV next to each other with 24 consoles hooked up simultaneously without ever switching a single cable and I still have some slots free for consoles to come. Bottom line: *If you have the time to save some money for it I would have a custom build shalf oder anything IKEA!*
It looks so clean and pristine! Fantastic job with the setup and thank you for showing us your awesome collection! I may take some cues from this myself.
You're game Room is certainly one of the most visually attractive setups, I like how you have Every system displayed is actually playable which is tough to do because of all those cords. Very nice!
Some thoughts that came to mind as I was watching this great tour: Video on how you maintain your arcade cabinets next? List of the IKEA/furniture equipment? Why you chose those versus other alternatives? What do you think you could do to improve your setup or what are you thinking next with the Game Room? Specs on TV? What's a good modern TV for retro games/multiple game setups? What type of PVM was that? What's your most priced part of your collection? Why is the Ps4 pro the best of this generation?
To help with cable management, get some 100mm x 50mm PVC trunking to run along the floor behind the units. Take advantage of where the two units join, you can run another piece of trunking up towards the top. Then.. using a flexible cable tube/ cable tidy to the TV. With everything being white, this won't look out of place, managing the cables inside the trunking with some velcro cable ties may also make things easier. You'll also have a reflective surface from the trunking for your LED lights to bounce and disperse off. All you need for that room now is a proper gaming chair for solo play and a fold away sofa (not sofa bed) to help with space saving. Love the channel, keep the content coming!

I suggest moving the CD disc base on to the second shelf instead of the bottom because to prevent more dust. Ground units will get more dust and particles. The ps4 needs to go up. Any systems with a fan needs to go up on higher lvl. Nice collection.
Anything on ground floor will get the most dusts. I would put the cartridge base console on the bottom. Having a fan base system would attract more dust but on an upper lvl would minimize it. It wont stop all dust though even on upper lvl but it's better than cleaning so often.
I would agree but I also saw the ash tray sitting on the arcade unit in the beginning. If he smokes then dust is a minor concern compared to the damage from cigarettes. I wouldn't put my consoles that low regardless.

Awesome gameroom mate. I really respect the fact that you only collect the games that actually interest you, rather than filling up a massive collection of shitty filler games. I am going to adopt the same strategy with my setup.
You could fill the back with some cheap white board cut to size and open holes at the back to pass the wires through. Helps a lot with cable management. It fits about 9 consoles. The only way dust can come in is to the back and if I open the glass door. The back is next to a wall. I don't have a problem with dust.
Depends where you live, in my home in the countryside (UK) dust collects on stuff about 1 a year, minimum cleaning, but abroad where I study in a city in Southern EU I have to remove dust 1-2 a month, it’s just crazy dusty there even when my windows are mostly closed. I just don’t get it.
Wouldn't a light fabric, with some small cutouts and held on with velcro circles on the back of the ikea furniture help with hiding all the cables/clutter behind?
You could easily cut/shape and paint some cardboard and place that in first. Then install the games and they would be in the front of the shelf but the backing would keep them all lined up correctly.
It's refreshing to see someone else who loves the Dreamcast so much. It gets a lot of hate despite being a great system with a great library. Awesome video, your game room looks really good!

I was on vacation and missed this one! Dope game room MVG!!
LTX?
Wouldn't a light fabric, with some small cutouts and held on with velcro circles on the back of the ikea furniture help with hiding all the cables/clutter behind?
Exactly. You don't even need a cut out. Just a 6 inch slit.
That's a potential fire hazard.
@@celticwarlord4204 There are lots of home theater furniture pieces that come with said fabric applied to the back them...
This is awesome. You’re keeping the past alive and showing off the history of console (and arcade) gaming. 👍
Can you make a video on the XBOX One port of Retro Arch (one with Dolphin support)

Your room is amazing! I miss the era of physical copies. The digital libraries will never have the same magic as a shelf full of games.
Your games seem "hidden" on the shelf, try to bring them forward. It will look more beautiful and you'll have less dust :)
I don't like it.. because it's not mine ;_; lol
Looks great MVG
Dude your gaming room is amazing, much respect 👌🏼 pure motivation this is what I'm currently working on for the future gaming room, awesome video loved it.
This guy makes a career talking about piracy on RUclips but shows off his ridiculous, legitimate collection lol. I honestly thought I was looking at an episode of MetalJesus at first look

@@allgood925 enough already the x is way better than the pro in every way and is currently the best system in the world. Proven already by every analysis you can think of
Whats an xbox ?
I just platinumed bloodborne and old hunters.
Gonna start horizon after and some uncharted lost legacy after.
Also getting the vita out thanks to ratalaika games.
Anybody driveclub and spiderman coz.i need tips heaps.
Awesome game room! Nice and clean setup that's not too overwhelming or cluttered. Looks very warm and inviting. You mentioned your Switch games, but didn't talk too much about it in your entertainment center (same with PS VR).
Needs some older consoles... NES, IntelliVision, Atari VCS/2600, etc
Nice to see such a varied collection. Truly a man of exceptional taste.
Xbox a good system u gave up to early xbox 1X perform better than ps4 pro
Really liked your setup! Its not overwhelming where you have every single game and edition etc.
I have the same Ikea cabinets for my consoles...I bought some backing at Bunnings and painted it and nailed it on.....drilled a few small holes for the cables and its clean AF. Also added the glass shelves so each hole can hold more consoles!
0:38 Love the set up where can I find the shelving out?
Awesome! Been waiting for this video for so long!
The most impressive part of your game room is how clean and neat it is. LOTS OF GAMES? Sure impressive. LOTS OF GAMES and somehow your game room isn't a gross mess, with messy cables, super dusty, and unorganized!? DAMMMNNNNNN IMPRESSED.
Excellent game room and collection I also love the ashtray on the candy cab 😉 nice touch
