Hearing him beg her to unzip the suitcase while she taunts him is heart wrenching.
Nothing of value was lost, frankly. They are both alcoholic losers that never did any good for anybody in their whole lives. The only lack of justice here is the fact that she is equally a loser and got to live.
It was horrible 😢
That’s what stands out the most to me and what will stand out to the jury
My daughter has asthma and more than once when she was little, she inflamed her lungs by tucking herself into a tight space curled up and falling asleep. Like suitcases. All the true crime I watch, THIS was the one - I couldn't watch a lot of the coverage. Because I haven't been in that situation but I've been adjacent to it, and this case is personal. I've SEEN this, I've had to calm the panicking child enough to even USE the rescue inhaler, and what he went through, the panic, the pain, I can't, I just can't. This is personal.
They were both scumbags. Obviously not saying a woman beater deserved death , but they were both scum, but I’ll say this , If she gets a 2 victims of abuse in that jury and they are stubborn and don’t entirely care what the instructions are for acquittal/ guilty she has a real chance if walking. Remember at the end of the day , those jurors can vote anyway they want. We just hope they vote accordingly to the instructions. But if they want to say innocent out of stubborness , not much any one can do.
If you are stupid enough to film yourself committing crimes, take the plea.
Seriously
Well said sir / madam. Well said!
Rite. I heard in a chat that there was a recording on phone of sarah coaching Jorge on how to drop the DV charges against her.
💯
No she was that stupid to film it, so she wasn't SMART enough to take the plea
I am glad she rejected the deal so the jury can convict her of murder then the judge throws the book at her. He will give her the maximum sentence or close to it.
I think she will be punished for not taking the deal (assuming she is convicted)
If she got out in 8 years I'd say 90% chance she kills another skinny old dude
@@burtreynolds3143she will be punished for wasting everyone’s time. The patience of the judge is phenomenal. I can’t wait to hear his speech at the end of the trial and calling her out for all her shenanigans in court for the last 4 and a half years.
I thought Florida was a death penalty state...what happened to that!!! She seems like the type who likes to tie up the courts time for years on end!!
she’ll take the deal. it’s still on the table
Her narcissism will land her a life sentence
and I don’t feel sorry for her.
Then she will ask "can I still take the plea deal"??
@@kenn1936😅 she will.
I sincerely hope this is the case!
@@kenn1936Oh you could bet $100,000 on that and he safe. She absolutely will ask that
Regardless of whether or not he was abusive toward her, he was a human being. I’ve heard/seen the video/tape where he’s pleading for help and she just mocks him, etc. it was very hard to hear. She deserves prison for a long time, imo.
All of her miserable life.
Doc! This type of format where you talk a little more openly is just as good as the scripts! Hope there are more of these types of videos to come!! We know you’re terribly busy as you post daily but I’m sure many of us would be delighted for more of these types of vids (on top of your classics!) thanks :)😊 😊
Agreed…love this style

I like this style, but the scripted style, with Dr. Grande's deadpan humor, is what made this channel a success.
I also love this format. It would be a great idea for follow-up videos.

Nice to see your real personality Dr. Grande. In a lot of ways I liked your old personality better than when you became "famous". Your shirts are always a pleasant surprise.
Good video. The first one I've seen that fully explored the ramifications of the plea deal.

Yes exactly! Accountability and Sarah do not belong in the same sentence

My wife and I have a joke, when there's a new criminal Netflix series, I tell her to save her time and just watch Dr. Grande.
IMO it's what your channel does better than anyone else: quick, concise, and unbiased overview of a case. You take a 6 part docuseries and make it into a 15 minute video, it's amazing.
While the relaxed format has a place, please don't get away from the concise format.
I usually watch Dr Grande after Netflix or whatever I become interested in to get his feedback.
🎯💯
There are some very good netflix crime docos and lots of bad ones. Unfortunately the ratio is shifting towards the bad ones lately.
Agree! It's a gift!
I finished watching this one about this guy called “Air McNair” on Netflix. I think he’s famous but I’m not into football. Anyway it went for a whole god damn hour and at the end of it I was like…that’s it? I was expecting this mystery that went multiple levels deep, but you could have told me this story in about 60 seconds. Lmao what a waste of my time.
Thanks for covering this, I'm looking so forward to watching the trial, popcorn ready, I hope her boyfriend receives justice, what a horrible death and so needless! Love hearing your wisdom on these current events, thank you for your hard work!
The perfect Sunday format! We really enjoyed getting to meet Mrs. Dr. Grande (Amy) in your earlier video as well.
I really enjoyed this video's format. Listening to Dr. Grande's stream of thought and contemplation of Boone's strange situation. I enjoy the more scripted videos too with all the puns and deadpan delivery, but this was a nice change-up.
I liked this more! But the other is grand too!
This approach is good once in a while and should build the paradoxical bond the drives channel views.
@@bthomson Is it grand….or, is it Grande? 😂 (sorry, bad pun on my part, but I couldn’t resist writing it anyway)
I personally like both formats…a switch up here & there is interesting.
I especially liked hearing a fully enunciated "hello" as the first word. Instead of the normal "ohnissis Dr. Grande."
The most shocking/worst plea deal rejection is by Katie Magbanua in the Dan Markel murder. She turned down probation if she testified against husband; ended up convicted of first degree murder and received life without parole.
The other killer in Hugo Selenski's most recent murder was initially arrested for burglary or something similar, ratted on Selenski, trying to escape the charge, and ended up with life in prison for his role in the murders.
She must kick herself every day for that decision.
Yeah, no kidding. These modern feminists are sick in the head.
Caius Veiovis was supposedly offered a deal for a few years in exchange for testifying against his codefendants but decided to go to trial and got life sentences. He would've been out a few years ago, now.
Well she sure has a lifetime to regret it.
I feel for the children though with both parents incarcerated for life now, that must be hard to process while growing up and I hope they can heal from the trauma of it.
Dr. Grande, I love the "freestyle" delivery today!! I know it would be tough to come up with all of the puns and alliterations without a prewritten script, but this is a nice change
It's reminiscent of Dr Grande's earlier video's.
Kkk@@margaretr5701
The woman is extremely confident that she is not guilty of a crime. That seems to be her only motivation. To be right no matter what the law says.
I think she's the sort of person who lives for the fight. She'll keep it going as long as possible.
Doctor G.! Great format. A professional Doctor having a conversation with his RUclips audience. Not something we get to see very often. Absolutely riveting to say the least.👍
15 years what a joke sentence!! The guy slowly suffocated while she taunted him. Glad she turned it down and will spend the rest of her life locked up.
She hasn't been tried yet.
A long time ago, I heard that crucifixion causes death through positional asphyxiation because having the arms pinned pulls chest muscles so the prisoner can't breathe and it takes a long time to die.
The same dumbness that got her there is the same dumbness that is going to get her a worse prison sentence.
@@GrumpyCat-mw5xl It was not dumbness. It was intoxication from alcohol. I believe the boyfriend was very intoxicated as well. What man would allow anyone to place him into a suitcase and zip it up? If she put him in there at all. He may have put himself in there. Since they were very drunk, it's possible that she did not realize the severity of the situation. Intoxicated people say all kinds of ridiculous things. Ever go to a bar or nightclub? Ther are lots of people in those places who say much worse due to alcohol.
George was not nailed to a cross like Jesus. He was stuck inside a suitcase while heavily intoxicated. Maybe all the alcohol played a role.
Dr. Grande dropped a new aesthetic.

Totally agree 💯
She turned it down because she's nuts. Zipping someone up in a suitcase without thinking it could be harmful or as a punishment is just plain crazy. Alcohol or not.
Don't call them crazy. American law defines crazy as "innocent." She's evil. Incompatible with humanity.
She knew it was harmful as CPS a few years before this charge, told her not to zip Lukas in a suitcase because injuries like this can arise. But as Suitcase Sarah says she excels at everything and that she's a great mom. Family Court kinda doesn't see it her way. She's always accusing someone of abuse. For someone who had literal 50/50 custody and yet only saw her kid maybe 2 days a week and it was whenever she felt like it and would end when she and Jorge's fights were escalating she'd have Brian pick Lukas up. At Lukas agreed some of the fights were stupid and unproductive. Hope he doesn't learn his mother's bad behaviors
i guess she also admitted that she beat him with a baseball bat while he was in the suitcase. that makes it even more horrific when it was beyond so already 😢
I know a guy that zipped his wife in a suitcase. He is a POS for sure but whats worse is there was about 20 other people standing around watching this happen and no one did a thing about it. He finally walked away and eventually one of the other women let the wife out. Honestly, WTF !
@justme-dm7sb psychopaths will do horrific things to others but scream and plead for mercy when they're on the receiving end. They cannot be rehabilitated. They have no empathy for others.
Florida has given heavier sentences to individuals who have not committed murder at all (let alone such a sadistic one). Society is safer with her in jail.
PURE T SADISM AND LACK OF SOUL. SHOCKING....
Congrats on 1.5+ million doc. I've been around since before 300k. Time flies.

I love this new format Dr Grande 👍🏻
Have you watched some of Dr Grandes earlier video's? This is much like his early style.
It's crazy that she thinks the family and the victim deserve no kind of justice. Wow. She's the kind of person who deserves even more time for her lack of remorse.
she zipped him into a suitcase and treated him like a piñata, how is that self defense?
Sarah is Sarah's problem. She is a legend in her own mind. She STILL after five years in jail has not learned one thing about herself. She is a narcissist and, I could be incorrect, she is also that child that her parents gave in to for her whole life just so she would shut up. I can see her kicking and screaming, calling her parents names, etc. I am willing to bet she will insist on getting on the stand to testify. Once she opens her mouth its a wrap. The jury will loathe her and have zero sympathy. I feel bad for her cellie. Omg being locked in with her - I'd rather stick pins in my eye.
She’s very performative. This attention from others has gone straight to her head.
I agree. She won't be the first narcissist who truly believes they did nothing wrong and that they're the victim rejecting a plea deal and wound up with life without parole. Dr. Grande should do a feature on famous rejected plea deals from delusional criminals who believed they were innocent.
@@Chaeya Great suggestion!
I agree with what you have said. Reading what you say and how you express yourself you strike me as being an Australian. Am I wrong??
Clearly you have forgotten that she was an Honors student!
I've always loved watching your videos, but ever since you introduced us to your wife, I like them even more.
I like this new style of background. Makes me feel more like a part of the mystery of Grand Master Grande's creation.
Everything she does shows who she is. She left him in a suitcase until he died while she talked to him and recorded it, she fired eight lawyers until she got one that is going to do things her way. She turned down a great deal that never should have been offered. I believe she will be found guilty, and the judge will not be lenient because of the callousness of her actions.
Every second past 8 years as she serves life without parole she will scream.
And Sarah's callousness extends to every person she has dealt with since Jorge's death...in particular her lawyers, Judges and ex-husband.
@@UberFoX More like 5 or 6 years, since she's already done time. So glad her narcissism made her turn it down.
@@feanorian21maglor38 Its hilarious that she literally turned down having to serve like 5 years and is now facing a very (if not HIGHLY) likely conviction of life without parole.... Imagine being so narcissist that you can think you can beat murder charges.
@@feanorian21maglor38 I guarantee when she gets sentenced to life we will see a massive breakdown in court just like Carly Gregg who also rejected a very sweet plea deal and now has to be prison for life. The meltdown will be meme worthy for sure.
Your voice is soothing and the stories you cover are great… love this channel
I love the casual conversation type video. Thank you for changing the format for this video
I really liked this format, Dr. Grande! Well done!
Interesting and pleasant new format. It's going to take getting used to, after years of watching your more scripted format. It's nice to see you more relaxed. It just goes to prove that we your audience appreciate your efforts. Thanks again Dr. Grande!
I think she's just so used to getting her way by throwing tantrums, making herself the victim, or by force. Now, it's not working for the first time she's not getting her way.
And I think Dr. Grande also underestimates how much someone can live in denial of reality.
If she had accepted the deal, it would have been over and her sentence would have been determined.
As it is, she can still pretend she's going to be a free woman when the trial is over. She just doesn't want to face reality.
Arguably it worked to a point, wearing down the prosecution into offering the “plea deal of the century.”
I actually think her victim mindset is what causes all her troubles. She has no understanding of her own agency and how her own deeds and decisions affect what happens in her life. She seems to be convinced that her allegedly bad relationship had nothing to do with her own actions (staying in the relationship), which makes her justified to kill her allegedly abusive boyfriend. And now she thinks she's not in fault that she killed him.
And this is also what makes her a not sympathetic defendant. She has no insight into how she appears to others when she only defends her actions and acts like a victim. At least, when I first heard about the case, I gave her the benefit of a doubt, that it might have been an accident. But the more she speaks, the harder it gets to have sympathy for her. If she just apologised and regretted her actions, she'd appear more likable and maybe jury could have mercy on her... But her endless ramblings and self-righteousness is just annoying and makes no good for her.
This is what I was thinking. She seems to think she's the smartest person in the room and is convinced that she will be able to fool the jury into thinking she's innocent, or at least a good person who doesn't deserve this kind of treatment.
Very cruel woman.
She's evil 😈 too
Most of them are!
Just remember that he was beating her all the time. So not much sympathy for the woman beater either
Who? @wolfmantroy6601
@@Kossuk If he was beating her so badly why then did Sarah Boone bail Torres out of jail herself each time she had him arrested for it? You do know that Sarah Boone was arrested of beating him as well.
It's first degree because he asked for help and she ignored it.
Agree
I agree with you, but I think she’ll get manslaughter via battered spouse/intoxication/did not believe he was actually in danger defences.
“That’s what it feels like when you choke me.” Is the line that gets me. She admits so much knowledge of what she’s doing right there. This could’ve started as she said, but this ended with revenge, and I have no idea how it’s considered 2nd degree.

You hit the nail on the head, Dr. Grande. She has lost her everloving perspective on the whole case. Sarah wants to be right and damn the consequences. I also think that as the trial progresses and she sees her fate, her lawyer will reach out to the state and ask for the same 15-year plea deal. I think that deal is gone forever.
Maybe she fantasizes a Netflix deal Making a suitcase Murderer through an appeal with some innocent project’s help
Let’s hope the deal is gone forever
I always look for your coverage because you are so logical. You explain the "why"
Just to be clear, some of the 8 lawyers (2 I believe) had to withdraw due to representing Jorge in previous cases.
I think that because she says she didn't mean for Jorge to die, it means she shouldn't be punished for it. She misses, or chooses to ignore, the point entirely. Her actions caused his death - regardless of her intentions.
They were both very intoxicated.
@@NalaRichenbach I doubt that will count for much.

What? Surely it is some kind of sex thing and not actually that? I figured it was some kind of euphemism where everyone just understood that.
I believe she had this all planned out when she suggested Hide and Seek so she is lucky she isn't being charged with first degree murder.
@@jessicav2031Listen to her full explanation sometime. She says they had a great evening, putting together jigsaw puzzles, drawing, and playing hide and seek, things no adult couple would do, but that was the alibi she came up with for how he got stuck in the suitcase.
She hadn't thought of how to explain him being zipped up, but she couldn't back down from what she said once she had started down that road, so she said that's how THEY play hide and seek.. it was an argument from subjectivity: who are we to say they play hide and seek "wrong." right?
So she's not as bright as she thinks she is, but what makes her a narcissist is that she thinks everyone around her is dumber.

In the UK, there was an MI-6 agent who was found dead, zipped up in a suitcase that was also padlocked from the outside. This case was ultimately declared a suicide.
