I am suddenly in need of some help. I after 8 years of living in section 8 housing i was given a 30 day notice to vacate. Me and my fiancee, are disabled and on ssdi. I was informed that my rent check had been stolen from the drop box attached to their office. I have never been late with rent. It has always been on time and paid in full. I wasn't even notified until the 8th of the month. It was not even brought to my attention. I am living the ssdi nightmare life. The owner of the apartment complex seemed ok until i pointed out that is office and my apartment were sharing only using one elctric meter. He is stealing electricity from me. I believe he had my cashiers check stolen because i caught him. Since things have been total stress.

I’m in Texas and I have been on the section 8 list for emergency section 8 for a year now……I’m losing my housing assistance that I was getting from staying in the domestic violence shelter next month and I only get 800 in SSI a month so my rent alone is 750 and I’m looking at being homeless

Oh man I have a problem. (Formerly Bad Co. Here). I got a guy with 3rd stage renal disease living on the street. He's had a new useable voucher since March. Had to get an extension but found a swank sec 42 for him.
Problem? Milwaukee Housing Authority waited an entire month before we found out he's not even registered for inspection. Guess why? Because one of the papers I turned in was not BLUE. WTF !!
When I called to bitch about the egregious bureaucratic b*******, they said we'll, if he's that sick maybe we will revoke his TBRA and put him on list for assisted public housing. WHAT,????
IF HE DIES WHILE WAITING AND LIVING OUTSIDE, THERE WILL BE HELL TO PAY.

It sounds like this man should be in a Medicaid care facility. If he 3rd stage how does he get treatment if he is in a Sec 8 apartment? Something isn’t right. Doesn’t he have a case manager or social worker?
Sir, Home owners and Landlords are not even accepting Section 8 Vouchers. So they are issuing them at a time when most are rejecting them.
This is so true. So let's say you got the voucher. How do you actually find a place to live?? Let's find an answer to this...
