I have two Sicce pumps and love them. They are well built, easy to use, have parts options, and work well. Sicce is also easy to work with and get parts from. I recently ordered spare parts and new rubber feet. Even with COVID, the parts were shortly on their way by UPS. No bad for an Italian manufacturer. With other companies parts stuck on ships, Sicce had enough stock in the USA to help customers. Thanks for another great video, Jim
Just got my 6.0, but the control isn't the same as this video shows. It doesn't have all those features nor the magnetic attachment. It looks like the picture on the box. What's up with that???
can you confirm if the SDC 3.0 use with the apex. It was not able to be used last year. The app does not provide an IOTA number. I want to get one of these, but my main goal was to integrate with my APEX. Can bulk reef supply confirm this?
I just got this for my AIO E170 and I’m going to use it in the rear built in sump but it won’t fit with the guard on the inlet. Will it be ok to use it without the inlet guard on ?
FYI 3.0 DOES NOT WORK WITH APEX. "I apologize that you have not received an update. Apex integration for the SDC 3.0 firmware has not been released yet. We are working hard to get this feature live and need a bit more time. I apologize for the delay, but it should not be much longer. "
The firmware is there now, but I have a lot of trouble with mine, not turning all the way off in feed mode and slow response, which changes not really happy with the using iota truth be told
Yeah there customer support is really bad takes at least 3 working days between replys and after over 2 weeks get told that rotors and anything that basically moves is only covered for 6 months. the warranty is basically a gimmick
@@owen5705 i had a defective syncra sdc 6.0 that wouldn't maintain a steady speed. Took months of haggling, but they did send another one out. I always keep a backup ret. pump in case of emergency and this was the backup, so I knew it was the problem since they were identical by doing a selective interchange. The wifi connection is spotty at best. Took 5 attempts to pair the newest one w/o success. I go down in the basement and it's miraculously paired on its own. SMH. Their old AC stuff was very reliable tho.

Sorry to hear that you've had a bad experience! Were you working with the US support team? They're usually really quick to resolve issues. If you haven't already, this email is the one that you'll want to use for Sicce support in the US. Sicce - infous@sicce.com
No good! Have you reached out to Sicce at all? Also, are you running on a 2.4ghz dedicated wifi channel? Just about all of our reefing gear only works with 2.4ghz, and a lot of routers are designed to run both and switch between them unless you change the settings to separate them into 2 dedicated channels. I had that issue a while back and ended up getting a separate wifi router, using it as an extender, and have all of my reef gear connected to it on a dedicated 2.4ghz channel. If that isn't the issue, I am sure the team over at Sicce can help sort you out asap!
@@ThomasBReef Im an IT guy i know about the network stuff. The problem was it wouldnt connect to their servers yesterday. Just tried again and it signs in again. Also looks like they updated the app within the last month and it finally works. I can change the level without it defaulting back to 50% everytime. Time will tell if it stays working. But if you look at the android app store a 2.0 rating.... They need to spend a bit more time on it.
I have two SDC 3.0. Great pumps! And, yes the app works great and it’s pretty useful. Thanks for this video.

Just ordered 4 Sicce pumps from the black Friday sale. Great info.
Thomas always gets a 👍
Great information Thomas 👍
So barbed fittings. Meaning this thing will work as a replacement for my stainless steel cannister filter? ( pump sits on top of cannister)
Can you change Celsius to fahrenheit?
Hey Thomas!!!

Thinking about using one of these on a closed-loop. Can the pump speed be set to random on the native app?
Yes, there are 5 total pre-set flow modes, including a random option.

Shouldn't be an issue in 99% of cases. It's just the off chance that a rogue snail goes for a walk that might be a slight concern.

These top 5 videos really take away from the personalities of the video hosts. Very generic and not engaging to watch.
Nevertheless important for some who are hung up looking for answers!
Don't worry, we will be back to our regular flow of videos soon ;)
Lets try again. The app on android is trash. Check the 2.0 rating. App wont even connect to the internet now. Tried on 2 android devices.
