Arijit Singh is a good singer. He had his domination from 2015-2021 predominantly. But in long run his songs are going to be obsolete due to lack of originality in his songs and repeatedly singing similar kind of songs. But that’s true that only singer to rule like a star after kumar Sanu is Arijit.

If you go to RUclips trend you will find many of songs sung by kumar Sanu are trending.. few days back barsat ke mausam was trending.. recently Bandhan title song was trending on Rakhi. And many more like every month you see kumar Sanu songs sung by 90s and 2000s are trending. But I doubt if Arijit’s old songs are gonna trend after 30 years from now. Offcourse songs like Aashiqui 2, suno na sangemarmar kind of songs are going to be forever . But quantity of long lasting songs is less now a days.

The reason for Sonu Nigam less presence for last few years is his stance for royalty in 2013, it's not like he was not getting songs ,.Sonu was banned.. the copyright amendment were made in 2012 .he was asked to sign the contract for his songs in films to get it released in year 2013 the contracts were illegal and backdated by then new singers signed it as they had nothing to lose or gain, and all his recorded songs in films like kick,main tera hero,heropanti,yeh jawani hai dewani, heartless etc they all got dubbed , and banned him .Keep in mind his sacrifice which Kumar sanu himself admit Sonu was completely banned then by t series and music labels until 2023 when things sorted out and due to Sonu struggle over the years all the singers started getting royalty and contracts from music company also got corrected,

But Sonu didn't signed the contract ..Sonu press conference is on RUclips which he did for this issue and he announced his retirement too in 2013....if he was after songs he could easily signed the contract and hence arijit would have founded a compitator... Kumar sanu's voice is evergreen. You can never get tired of listening to that voice. On the other hand, Arijit seems to be boring nowadays, same old voice, no variations, nothing new....... If we see kumar he continously made changes in his voice like in late 80s he had different textured voice, then he changed his voice in early 90s and after that brought a silky touch in voice in late 90s and early 2000s
You can add one more thing Shanu da time was better because of real compitition during arijit 2013 aashqiue 2 time his main compitator sonu nigam was banned by music labels as he was fighting against illegal contract which arijit was made to sign by force, sonu protest against the contract and announced his retirement in 2013. So sonu got banned in 2013. Many of his songs in the same year which he recorded were made to be dubbed by other singers in major films like Yeh jawani hai dewani, kick, main tera hero etc ... Arijit another compitator atif was banned in 2017. So what is the point of such rule when your Co singers are banned and companies not releasing their songs and only pushing you because you are signed to the term and condition of music labels. Arijit rule was by push of music labels as arijit was signed to t series in 2013 and 2014 all the t series films had his song then.

Yar kumar sanu is the greatest playback singer after Rafi and kishore. Keep it simple. Even great Udit Narayan has always been overshadowed by tremendous voice control and mesmerising voice quality of great kumar sanu.
Some biased and ignorant people say that Kumar Sanu sang easy songs. But if that were true, it would mean that all the music directors like Nadeem-Shravan, Jatin-Lalit, Anu Malik, Rajesh Roshan, Laxmikant-Pyarelal, Anand-Milind, Himesh Reshammiya, RD Burman, Bappi Lahiri, and Nikhil-Vinay were making simple, kid-level tunes from 1990 to 1997. In reality, Kumar Sanu made difficult songs seem easy. It's only when another singer performs these songs that we realize what’s missing-the emotional depth that only Kumar Sanu could bring, whether in sad, romantic, or other songs. On the other hand, Arijit Singh often seems like he's always in a crying mood. You can’t point to a single Arijit song with pure, unadulterated romantic emotions.

The reason for Sonu Nigam less presence for last few years is his stance for royalty in 2013, it's not like he was not getting songs ,.Sonu was banned.. the copyright amendment were made in 2012 .he was asked to sign the contract for his songs in films to get it released in year 2013 the contracts were illegal and backdated by then new singers signed it as they had nothing to lose or gain, and all his recorded songs in films like kick,main tera hero,heropanti,yeh jawani hai dewani, heartless etc they all got dubbed , and banned him .Keep in mind his sacrifice which Kumar sanu himself admit Sonu was completely banned then by t series and music labels until 2023 when things sorted out and due to Sonu struggle over the years all the singers started getting royalty and contracts from music company also got corrected,

If we see kumar he continously made changes in his voice like in late 80s he had different textured voice, then he changed his voice in early 90s and after that brought a silky touch in voice in late 90s and early 2000s
You can add one more thing Shanu da time was better because of real compitition during arijit 2013 aashqiue 2 time his main compitator sonu nigam was banned by music labels as he was fighting against illegal contract which arijit was made to sign by force, sonu protest against the contract and announced his retirement in 2013. So sonu got banned in 2013. Many of his songs in the same year which he recorded were made to be dubbed by other singers in major films like Yeh jawani hai dewani, kick, main tera hero etc ... So what is the point of such rule when your Co singers are banned and companies not releasing their songs and only pushing you because you are signed to the term and condition of music labels.
