Ahhh nostalgia! I remember many of these from the early 70s, mostly by their colour. I haven't seen them since those days so thank you for the school sandpit memory bubble 🚙
I'm now going through your matchbox videos Jules. Absolutely wonderful to watch. Like you I loved Matchbox. Prime buying time for me was mid to late 70s. They all came from one toy shop which my mum took me to. And she allowed me one or maybe two models which she bought for me. I was always in awe of the lovely neatly stacked boxes end on, on the wooden shelves. I have them all still in matchbox carry cases but unfortunately no boxes. Keep up the great content.❤
Hello Jules great video. The car transporter has a incorrect tractor in should be a a Bedford it is a Thames trader that you have it belongs to a horse box however they are interchangeable and make easy code 3 model s the Guy petroleum tanker is a good one to look out for l like to interchange mine great video very enjoyable
Laughing at the poor “imposter” in the car 😂 guys probably been in for years and thought he was safe ! I am sure I had the mercury estate car but in a pale metallic blue ?
Got some of these in my old toy car box myself. They still get played to this day by my nephew. I've mentioned it before but have you got any Siku in your collection or plan to have any? Cheers and well done on the 20k.
I bought a large collection of over 100 Lesney cars. The photos showed them to be in very nice condition. When I got them and started going through them, I noticed some had "sticky" paint? They were stored in a plastic carrying case for 50 years. I've been told that plastic of the cases can cause chemical reactions to the paint. Have you ever experienced this? What does it do to the value? I'm a bit upset that the seller didn't mention this. Thanks.
Certain early models can indeed feel sticky or tacky. It's a chemical reaction and I've had it on a few old cars. I don't mind really, all part of the history of these great models.🙂
