Wow, what a fantastic bass line! Such a great mix of 8th notes and melodic runs. Super smooth and relaxed Neil. You make it look so easy. Nice to see the AC Jazz in action, feels like it's been a while. Thanks for sharing this one.
Yes indeed had to do a set up just a few hours before this recording as the neck needed relief...buzz city. My first time removing neck to get access to the heel, lucky no paint chipped off. But it all worked out good and the trussrod worked fine. But yes tried the jazz with my fingers as the jazz already has that treble you get from a pick. Love the jazz but I'm more at home on a precision. I think the precision is built more for abuse and a jazz is for kid gloves imo. Thanks for listening to both versions, mate.
@@neilmorrow9756 Yeah that is one of the things I really hate with Fenders is the access to the truss rod. I’ve never taken the neck off, I’ve always taken off the pickguard and if I have to dig into the wood of the body a bit, then do that. A P is definitely made for more aggressive playing. I find with a pick on a Jazz sometimes my hand hits the knobs as they get in the way of aggressive downstrokes.
@@damianopincolini9712 I’m definitely an old style p bass with flats type of guy but I feel more in control with fingers than a pick. Fingers gives more bass tone than a pick.

@@thomasfioriglioon another note. What's your next police song on the fretless? Would love to hear wrapped around your finger...Love that song.
@@neilmorrow9756 I’ve got Reggatta de Blanc already recorded. Haven’t had time to record any others yet. Wrapped is on the to do list.
Wow!
What a fantastic tone!
👏👏👏
Thank you Beto. Recorded this twice as you probably already know. Love the tone from the jazz but the p is probably truer to the original recording.
@@neilmorrow9756 It was great both with pizzicato and with the pick.
I liked both versions my friend!
@@beto-t1s me too for different reasons. But think the precision wins.
Wonderful bass cover
Thank you so much for taking your time to listen and for subscribing to my channel.
Very professional Neil. Same song, two basses, two styles!
Thank you so much Damiano!!!
@@neilmorrow9756 which One do you prefer: playing It with pick or with your finger?

@@neilmorrow9756 you do very well with pick anyway! Thanks a lot
By the way, how would you rate the difficulty level of this song? Thank you
That was cool!
Thanks for your support tokmind. Really appreciate it my friend.
Great stuff, Neil! Not sure which one of these I like better - I think it might be THIS one over the plec version!
Thanks Dan I could decide myself either so I posted both. 😁
